Just a little prayer needed

The babies are doing great! They went for checkups Tuesday.Jillian now weighs 11 pounds and Rowdy weighs 8 lb. 4 oz. Mom and dad have been noticing that Jillian hasn't been using her right arm as much as her left and were concerned so asked the Dr. about it.She says it is Erbs Palsy.From what I read something to do with a nerve being compressed during delivery,but if caught early can usually be corrected.She starts Physical therapy for it next week.

They are also checking Rowdy for Cystic Fibrosis.I always thought that was a hereditary thing but they say the type of surgery Rowdy had could cause it so they are checking just to be sure.They put a band of some kind on his arm to check the amount of sweat he produces.He goes back next Wed. for that test.I think they said it will take 6 hours to do whatever they have to do.So a few little prayers will be appreciated.Thanks

I've been praying for Bradley, his family and his medical team ... his whole situation is so very sad. This poor little guy has just been through hell and he's never really gotten the chance to just be a little boy! His family seems to have a strong faith, this is so necessary to copy with the unfairness of life.

Good thought for the two little ones. They have been on a bumpy road for too long. I hope their troubles are over soon.

Donna-After reading up on CF I was wondering the same thing.So, I just called DDIL to make sure that is what they are testing him for and it is CF.The reason for the test is because his bowel ruptured in utero and they don't know why.That is one of the things that can happen with CF.So it wasn't the actual surgery but the cause of rupture they were concerned about.It is just a precaution.She isn't too worried about it though,so that is good.She just said she even licked his face today and he didn't taste salty,(one of the symptoms of CF).LOL I told her that I had done the same thing while they were here and she cracked up!LOL Still won't hurt to say a little prayer.LOL
Patti-We are planning to go up to see them hopefully next week.I'll take some pictures but I won't have a way to post them till I get back.We will be gone 2 or 3 weeks.
