What's for dinner 11/27?

We didn't do it last night so tonight's the rest of the potato casserole and stuffing from TG. Also some raspberry-cranberry salad and turkey, of course. I cooked the bones today and made a nice big pot of stock to freeze for soups and casseroles.

Beer braised beef, spaetzle , red cabbage and cucumber salad.

I couldn't cook in the kitchen because of them installing new windows, so it was Pizza Hut pizzas for the six of us.

WE got a 20" snowfall overnight so its been hectic trying to dig out. Fortunately we had an adequate warning from the weather service ppl the night before so I made a huge pot of chilli in the crock pot. It sure has been nice to go out there and mess with the snow a bit, then come in, pull the heavy clothes and boots off and warm up with a small bowl of chilli and a few cups of hot coffee.

Lemon-pepper pork chops, green beans, rice with fresh garlic, steamed cauliflower. I did good if I say so myself! Marilyn Sue, I have to remember to get some sweet potatoes this week. Love them any way they're prepared!

Chinese take out. I felt guilty. Went to movies and had lunch at a Chinese restaurant next to theater. Told DH I'd bring home take out if he would like. Orange Beef, General Tsao's chicken, fried rice and hot and sour soup. Can't wait. The egg rolls are from the freezer. I made them a while back.

Oh Patti!!!!! I was going to post a question about dumplings!!! The other day hubby was saying that when he was a kid, his mom made chicken and dumplings. Then he moved to the states as an adult, ordered it, and these wet balls were served. I told him that's what dumplings are! He said his mom would put them on top of a chicken casserole and bake in the oven and they would get crisp. I said those were biscuits and dumplings are white and fluffy and get boiled with chicken, covered and you don't peek. He thought they were gross, but those are my fondest memories of my Nan, making chicken and dumplings. I would love to have some!!!!!

Turkey pot pie for me! Had plenty of left over turkey, gravy and vegetables! "Cheated" and used puff pastry for the crust (I usually make my own biscut crust). VERY easy dinner! :)

no leftovers here --- we had gone to BIL's for Thanksgiving and took nothing home except desserts (DH loved them!) Just got up from the table where we had filet of flounder, rice pilaf, fresh green beans, and for dessert, DH had pumpkin cheesecake!

While I'm waiting for some of your leftovers to arrive.....

.....we got together with some of the neighbours and ordered Chinese Food. I made some oatmeal cookies, another neighbour made a cake log, and another fellow brought some wine.
