Yeah, Michael really dropped the ball. Laura's collection was better than I was expecting--more variety with her look than I was led to believe. Uli's was fine I guess. Michael's? Some stuff kind of was pretty. I dunno. It was just a very disappointing experience. Don't know if I'll bother with next season. They're getting too close to jumping the shark. I hope Laura goes on to greater things or at least gets her stuff out there. Given an infinite amount of free time I'd like to go through the season and tally up the number of times people were criticized for making something that didn't look like "them" and the number of times they were criticized for making something that looked "predictable." But then I guess when you sign up for a "reality" show you're pretty much asking to be jerked around.

I agree...it'll never be the original Dallas...but it keeps my interest... Have they ever mentioned Pam on the new show? How did they write her off the original? I don't remember! I had Steve Kanaly on a flight several years ago...he was very nice...I knew his voice before I saw his face! I was on the floor setting up the beverage cart and he came back and asked me for something...i thought...mmm I know that voice...boy was I surprised when I turned around and saw him standing there!!

I like Capt. Rayder, she's really come a long way from when she first started on the show. She's gone from snooty and competitive to funny and caring. I think she'll do well in the new show. I think what won me over was when she was getting stories from Brenda's mom over Christmas dinner, of when Brenda was younger. And then when she nailed that bad guy with her bean-bag shotgun, right between the eyes. The other detectives were so impressed and kept that beanbag. It was a hoot.

None of the cast or crew wanted to end Major Crimes. This is a pattern with TNT. Once a series gets 5 or 6 seasons in, they kill it. They feel it gets too expensive. So they end their most popular series in favor of shows that are cheaper for them to produce. They can pay lower salaries and save money. They don't seem to consider that in doing this, they alienate their viewers. They did the same thing to Longmire. These shows are very popular with the over 45 age group. That isn't who advertisers are interested in targeting. They want the 18 to 45 year olds. Meanwhile, it's us old folks who have the money to spend and the time to sit and enjoy the programming. Go figure. It makes me very reluctant to get involved in other series produced by TNT.
