OH man she didnt even get a chance! I felt so bad for her. Pretty girl. She reminded me of that gal on Sex and The City, Cynthia Nixon the red head - who played Miranda.

I was glad to see they brought back Robert. He cracks my husband and I up!

But wow what a bunch of sexist men they have on board this season. A woman's job is cleaning? That's what they do best? Holy Schmokes! I wanted to shoot a dart at the tv!!

How about that gal Lovely? She left the kitchen and sat down drinking water for 45 minutes? SHE is the one who should have left Hells Kitchen; not Melinda.

PS, I dont know who went home on the 2nd half of the show, we went to bed. Will finish it tonight.

I just caught the tail end of the last season. It was fun to watch with the exception of Gordon.

I watched this show the other night because of the CF connection...boy, poor girl. She didn't have a chance. Poor others!!! I know it's his schtick...but I just cannot stand how vile Gordon is. It doesn't make for good TV to me. And the constant foul language. Okay folks...enough of the bleeping shock value language. And let's stop the sexist stuff you say for the cameras, too. I know you're all jockeying for tv time, but sheesh. I'm bored with you all already. I'd rather watch Paula Deen!

I agree with Shaun - Lovely should have definitely gotten the boot! What the heck is up with that?!?!?! A 45 minute break in the middle of dinner service?!?!?!?!

And I do feel bad for Melinda, she did NOT get a chance!

As much as I would love to see Ramsay getting his butt kicked, I don't think I can watch any more episodes. Too violent! LOL.

Bizzo she didnt do anything to where she should have gone home so soon! One thing she did that he didnt like was her signature dish was a lobster tail something or other and she didnt put the lobster tail shell on the plate, just the lobster meat. I didnt see the big deal, you dont eat the tail shell; maybe he was looking for presentation as well but still that's no reason to send the girl home when there were at least two other people who were awful!

I honestly can't remember what she did in the kitchen that was so bad. She positively looked shocked a lot of times; it must have been a terrible experience for her.

Darn I wish we could have gotten to "know" her a little better before she left.

Melinda had those 'bug eyes' and was in outer space as Ramsey said. She deserved to leave. She couldn't cook angel hair pasta? C'mon, give me a break??!!! 5 flippin' minutes in boiling water and drain. How do these folks get picked.

Robert is back. Okay, I like the guy. He is funny as hell. But he left for a heart condition and came back not only looking like he GAINED WEIGHT but with a real superiority attitude that was not deserved and will be shot through full of holes before the next episode. I have symathy for heavy people, but the dude is like 500 lbs and had a heart scare and if nothing else it looks like he has gained weight, not lost. Somewhere Richard Simmons is quivering in his shiney shorts@!

I'm not just picking on her. Lovely (who the hell names their kid that?) is a loser and will go home soon. This character who wants to fight Ramsey is a psycho and must either have a hidden agenda or the whole thing is staged. I'm not sure what to believe anymore. It's all fun, but it is getting extra hilarious with the contestants. I guess that is what reality T.V. is all about.

Thanks for the good thoughts; oh well! Based on what they showed she definitely deserved to go home. Maybe not before Lovely though.

Admittedly my perception could be skewed because I'm hearing one side of the story, but it sounds to me like Duane hit the nail on the head in suspecting the whole thing is staged. The fact that one of the guys had to be so terrible as to get kicked off in order to make room for Robert, says it all.

Foodonastump, that is exactly what I thought. How convenient to have Robert on location just when he needed him to be a replacement. How gullible do they think we are?

It was a toss up between Melinda, Lovely and Amanda (the Canadian). She served French Toast as her signature dish. I would have sent her home first just for that.

I think they choose a couple of candidates that would be fine running a restaurant, and the rest are chosen for entertainment value - cannon fodder for the Ramsay.

I like Top Chef, and now Top Chef Masters. Masters has narrowed it down to the final 6. The last episode had Jonathan Waxman and Roy Yamaguchi among others. They've had the creme de la creme of US chefs playing for charity. A joy to watch.

I'm sorry, Food, but I missed the show entirely as I was out of town and forgot to record it. Although I'm sorry for your friend, I'm sort of relieved that she was eliminated on the first episode. Now I don't have to watch it at all.

You really thought Melinda was the best looking? Hmmm. I don't know...when she sashayed (sp?) away at the end she looked like she might have a good caboose, but I don't know about the best looking. Could be.

Speaking of good looking, did anyone watch "The Chopping Block" on NBC? They took it off the air mid-season and then brought it back for the last 3 episodes. Kelsey and her sister won. 2 cute california girls...I suspected chef had the hots for both Kelsey and her sister per his remarks during the show (just my opinion) won. They were super cute, but not sure about their abilities for the win. I don't know....good looking goes a long way in many areas of life, not that I would personally know about that LOL!
