Good day/Bad day....

We got free tickets to the new James Bond movie. A sneak preview tonight....that's the good part.

I went to Walmart awhile ago....got my shopping done...went out to my car (in the rain) It started right up and quit. It will not run...just keeps starting and quiting. So Denny picked me up and we locked it up and left it there.

He said he'll deal with it tomorrow. Tomorrow will be worse...it is going to be really cold, windy, rainy and snowy.

I think he just needs to have it towed home and wait until a nicer day. I really need a newer car....sigh

Boy, don't you hate car troubles? At least it didn't happen in tomorrow's weather. Good luck! Hope you like the movie.

My vet told me that everyday that Maggie got up was a good day, and that is how I had to handle it, one day at a time. Sorry you had a stinker of a day. I remember the day we went from having four cars to having one car in one day! Fortunately all due to breakdowns, not accidents, so you have to count your blessings. By the time I got a call that #3 had broken down, there was nothing left to do but laugh.

It could be Septoria but its spots are usually raised on the leaf surface sort of like bubbles and I can't blow the pics up enough to tell for sure. It could also be Bacterial Speck and bacterial diseases respond better to copper based fungicides. What has the weather been like cool and wet (fungus) or hot and wet (bacterial)? One other possibility is flea beetles but I think it is a little too early for them even in Charleston. But given the weather this year they could arrive early. Look for them - tiny black hopping beetles - as the shotgun pattern of the damage is classic for them. Of course treatment for them is very different. Personally I wouldn't pull the plants yet. I'd strip off as much of the affected foliage as possible and spray the appropriate treatment and then continue to monitor. Dave

Must be the day for car troubles. I'd taken off this morning for the country house--planning to stay until at least Sunday to get some 'stuff' done there. Got a call from DH at 4:30,, "My truck seems to have lost all it's coolant, so I had to take it to the service station." So I hopped in the car and drove an hour through rush hour traffic to get home so I can take him to work tomorrow morning. Hopefully, the truck won't take long to repair, and we'll be back at the house mid-afternoon (DH is only working 1/2 days this week, since it's his first week back after his last operation.

Hope your car troubles are quickly remedied. Enjoy the movie.

Oh geeze! It is my biggest fear to have car trouble when I am somewhere alone! Hope its running like a top soon Patti.
