What's for dinner 11/30?

November is just about over already. Seems this year sure went by quickly. Tonight we're having pancakes and scrambled eggs with cheese. Tired of meat and potatoes!!

Friend and I dined at Bella's Cocina. I had my usual spinach salad and she had her usual Greek salad.

Then we shared a warm Orange-Olive Oil Cake, which was new on the menu.

There were 15 for dinner at my house today. Everyone brings something so it is pretty easy for me. I started my spaghetti sauce on Sat. morning about noon. I cook it in the oven in a big canning kettle. There is chicken, pork chops, hamburg, mild and hot Italian sausage in it. I cooked until 9 at night and then shut it off and left it alone. This morning I took out all the bones and stirred it really good. Put it back in the oven at about 250 to keep it hot. Dinner was around 2. I cooked 3 pounds of Angel Hair pasta. Jerri brought a huge salad with lots of great things in it. Judy and Jackie brought garlic bread. Millie brought wine coolers. Yelena brought Russian cake, she is from the Ukraine. Everything was wonderful, the ladies ate in the dining room and the guys ate out on the patio at our huge table. So much fun and everyone complimented on how good the spaghetti was. I hated to see everyone go home.

I used the carcass of a Costco rotisserie chicken to make chicken and rice soup yesterday so today I added some left over sauerkraut and ham and it was very good. I also made some potato salad but was too full of soup to eat any.....Roy said it was good. He loves potato salad so I will have to try some tomorrow to see what it needs. I added some organically grown purple radishes and some sugar snap peas to it and some grated organic carrot. I love getting the CSA box!

Marilyn_Sue, I hope you had better luck with your Pizza Hut supper than we did. They now have 2 strikes. Last week, we stopped at one to use a gift card I had bought for when we were on the road. Had our meal, went to pay. They told us the machine to process the gift card didn't work. Now what? We really didn't have enough cash with us. We ended up paying by cc. We thought it was the same machine, but IT worked! DH emailed the company when we got home. BTW the manager wasn't very nice about it, either. Company emailed back they would send us coupons. They were told we didn't want to go back to that store. Guess where the coupons are for?! Yep, same place. Last night we went to a local one to use up the gift card. Checked first to see if we would be able to use the gift card. No problem. Got our pizza, it had sausage on it, which we did NOT order. Talked to the server, she got the manager who checked the order. A different server took our order, because ours was busy. It had been put in wrong. Manager made us a new one, and was told about our previous experience. That was a new one for her! SHE told us it's the same machine for both the gift cards and the credit cards! Then when the bill came, she had credited us for the pizzas. We STILL haven't finished the card! But we did get 2 free pizzas. Tonight will be beef stew. Tami

DH is bring home broasted chicken from a new place he spied by his gym~~~~on my yoga nights I pre~prep dinner and he cooks it~~~since the time change and the cold weather he is doing more take out;) I love it I do not have to do anything and hardly any clean up!

I ran by Alberstons bakery earlier you can buy 1 piece of cake there for $1.99 big enough for us to share~~I got carrot cake it makes me look like I am doing something LOL!!!

Oven roasted new baby red potatoes, fresh Brussels sprouts, and boneless skinless chicken breast grilled on my new Cusineart Griddler. I love that Griddler!

I have a roast beef in the crock pot, it smells so good. I will make mashed potatoes and put a veggie with it.

It's Bob's night to cook, so we are having El Taco's tacos and burritos. LOL Yep, he cheated, but I really don't mind. It's cold here tonight!!
