Today is make pie dough day and make lots of noodles day. I used a dozen eggs. I am still working on the noodles....I had home made cream of potato soup for lunch and I guess that is what I will have for my supper too. Watched Alyssa for a couple of hours today, so that slowed down the noodle making. Hope you are feeling better each day Patti.

DH is cooking tonight......London broil with mushrooms and onions. That's all I know, and I don't really care. I just love the fact that he's cooking. (I'm not really crazy about London broil but am not complaining!)

Dinner was baked ravioli with roasted red peppers, italian sausage, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese & homemade spag. sauce.

Weather was nice today, in the high 50's.

Glenda, it sounds delicious, but everything sounds good to me these days. Glad you had a nice time.

Sue, I need to make my noodles tomorrow. Have to go to the oncologist in the a.m. but i really need to get them made. The most I've ever made is 9 eggs. Now I just use 3 or 4. And that makes a lot! Yum--the favorite part of the meal for most of my family. I'm the only one of 7 who learned to make them--the rest buy Ream's frozen. :-)

Georgysmom, shhh! We don't want Georgysdad to stay out of the kitchen. Enjoy!

My sisters and I went out to lunch today. Went to the local deli. I had a hot ham cheese croissant, a cup of chicken noodle soup and green tea. The cup of soup was very tiny. We then went to one sisters home for coffee and brownie. I brought half of my sandwich home, along with the brownie. That was my supper.

How can sitting around eating and talking for hours be so tiring?

I'm STILL unable to do a darned thing due to a disc issue in my neck that's caused a pinched nerve all the way down my arm. But we will heat up some frozen pea soup I made a couple of weeks ago. I'll make some fresh pumpernickle croutons which always taste so good.

Mary3444 - if you see this I'd love to know how to make that baked ravioli.

Had a medical appointment in the "big city". Took advantage of the trip and stopped at a Trader Joe's on the way home. Bought a very affordable bag of "Tiny Potatoes". Fingerlings, I believe.

I sorted them by size, and put the smallest of them in a clay casserole with the end of a sweet onion cut into wedges. Tossed with some olive oil. Put a whole bone-in chicken breast on top of them with a Tuscan salt rub. In the oven roasting now. Will do a quick sauté of broccoli, red bell pepper, garlic and olive oil.

Mary, now that sounds wonderful. Glad you had nice weather today.

Shirley, I know what you mean. It's so much fun to be with my sisters, but when I get home (or these days back to the motel) I'm just beat. In our case it's probably the eating (and wine drinking).

Rhizo, I sure hope you heal fast. That sounds very painful. Dinner will be good at your house--especially with those croutons!

Seagrass, I think you've outdone even yourself tonight. Delicious!

I had some asparagus and leeks in the frig, so I made them into a soup with potatoes to make them creamy. Chicken broth as the liquid.

Instead of using the blender or processor, I mashed everything with my potato masher and we liked the texture. Crusty rolls to go with it.

Chili cheese dogs and fries..if I get in the kitchen and start it...

Not wanting to do much...

After Happy Hour, it was simple stuffed, broiled Portabellas.

I laid down for a bit & Prince Charming came in from work and sauted the beef tips in butter & olive oil. He floured them first with all kinds of spices. So it was beef tips, rice & lima beans with crescent rolls to balance it all out...

Used up a lot of left overs and made pork fried rice preceded by our local, fresh lettuce, home grown tomatoes from the across the street neighbor,CSA avocado and homemade honey mustard dressing for DH. I had oil and vinegar dressing...and forgot the bleu cheese crumbles.
It was so good.

Jasdip, if you're still as cold as yesterday, that soup probably was just as good as it sounds--twice as good with the crusty rolls--my favorite.

Terri, if I knew I was going to get a chili cheese dog out of the deal, I'd be running for the kitchen. I used to love Dairy Queen's, but I tried one about a year ago and the chili was not the same.

OldFixer, I love stuffed portabellas. I stuff with a mixture of chopped plum tomato, garlic, olive oil and mozzarella. First I brush the stemmed/gilled mushrooms with a mixture of soy sauce and olive oil. I've only had them grilled but I think I could do them in the oven one of these days.

Laura, how is your mouth? Yep, you have a PC, alright. Very nice to have dinner cooking when you wake up from a nice nap!

Monica, I was looking through my recipes today and my beef stew recipe caught my eye. I can't wait to cook again.

Carol, I wish we could all live where we could have fresh produce all year round. You're a lucky girl!
