3 kt'ers met and chatted for 3 hours. Yep THREE hours, non stop.

Company was better than lunch. Fried flounder filet, green beans, corn muffin -diidn't finish any. Had a sweet potato pie for dessert and it was sweet, just not sure if it was sweet potato pie.

The other two, did enjoy their lunch. I was picky, today.

I hope you can have all that you planned for your meal, Patti. Broc cheese soup is one of my favorites.

I made a meatloaf today. Since I had the oven on, I made a regular baked potato. That way I can have potato skins also. Green beans as the side.

I had a chiropractor appointment today so Cheryl and I left early enough to get some shopping in. I had half of Cheryl's sub sandwich of ham, roast beef and Swiss cheese but I could only eat have of it. So my supper was the rest of the sub and a Holiday pie from McDonald's. Millk to drink.

Warmer this morning it was 19 but did get to 50 by afternoon. They say warmer for the next few days. We shall see.

For dinner hubby had his chicken pot pie & I had a cube steak with mashed potato.

Patti, how did the new soup taste. Little by little you are trying new things. Did you eat the donut holes?

Patti - that Panera broccoli cheese soup is one of my favorites.

Tonight we're having more food from the freezer, but I know what it is lol. Roast beef, gravy, garlic mashed. Bird's Eye peas and pearl onions.

I stocked the freezer with odds and ends of meals for my husband to use while I was gone for 3 weeks visiting my mother and helping her with things.
He didn't use any of it, and I can hardly get the freezer drawer closed.

Next time - I won't do that

Shirley, happy to say the broccoli cheese soup is delicious and tastes like broccoli cheese soup. Hurrah! Another thing I can eat! Who knows--meat loaf may be next :-) I'm sure yours is delicious!

Sue, subs fill me up, too. We always split one and neither one of us would finish our half. Always nice not to have to fix dinner after being gone most of the day.

Mary, I love both your dinners, but hate your weather :-) That is really cold! Yes, I ate ONE donut hole. That was enough.

Seagrass, I'd never had any Panera Bread soups, but I'm sure loving the tomato and the broccoli cheese. I can even eat the chunks of carrot and broccoli. Very tasty. Glad you know what's for dinner tonight--and it sounds wonderful!

We had basa fish fillets and mashed potatoes, and some broccoli.
We love basa.

I have a feeling that it is going to be one of those nights that you find dinner yourself. Molly & Tony are at a college Orientation & Registration so no telling what time they will be home..I might just fix me some pizza rolls or nachos...

I didn't get to the grocery store today, we are out of bread so we can't fix sandwiches....I was having a 3 hour lunch instead of going to the grocery store...lol Prince Charming is okay with finding him something to eat..

Jasdip, the grocery smelled just like I imagine your house smelling when you make bread. The donut holes were compensation for a loaf of French bread I knew I couldn't eat yet. I haven't had basa, but I've seen it in the stores.

Laura, I used to keep pizza rolls in the freezer when my DD was still at home. She loved them. Glad you had such a good time with Glenda and Linda. I think we all wish we could've been there, too. Glenda told us what she ate, but what did you have?

Ooh and made a little caramel sauce for dipping apples and pears in later..

would you be believe a&w rootbeer stand? we had a concert at dgds school...told dh 30-40 years ago it would have been a holiday concert, sigh....they were selling popcorn just to supplement the program....

The are called "winter" "spring" or the like now.
Kam's Winter band concert is the first week in Dec..they are doing several arrangements that are holiday based. One is a take on Feliz Navidad..another is Hanukah based.

I had the grouper like Glenda had and thought it okay, I have had worse. But they had dried butter beans that were the bomb and a simple salad that could have been better. I live less than a mile from the Southern Diner, where we ate today, but doubt I will go back.

Old habits die hard, I am used to keeping pizza rolls in the house, because our house was the house where all the teenagers hung out. And teenagers can go through some pizza rolls & nachos, so I kept both on hand for them, lol

Lazy pork roast. It was glazed with Heinz 57 and honey. I had a baked potato and green beans sauteed and sprinkled with Montreal seasoning. He had peas and pears. Very lazy dinner. We'll probably go out tonight; even lazier!
