Have you ever forgotten anything?

i mean something you've made but forgot to put on the table for a holiday dinner? I've forgotten the dinner rolls more than once and the cranberry sauce, too.

I probably haven't been at it as long as you. Phil, I haven't been 'serious' about Hosta for too many years. Seems to me my interest first got piqued about 6 or 7 years ago, when I started to get a bit more intrigued and involved with ornamental gardening. Having said that, this sport appeared on a clump that's been in the same spot for about 20 years or more. Sports happen. Randomly. Heck I've seen, and purchased, fairly common Hosta that are sporting right in the #1 pot they're in at the nursery. Most of the time when a single sporting leaf shows nothing will become of it and it'll be back to normal the next year. Periodically though you will encounter sporting on an entire shoot and that's when it becomes interesting because you'll see a continuation of the process the next year. And as for naming it, it has occurred to me. I have already done some cursory checking to see if there are any known Hyacinthina sports like what I'm experiencing and I have failed to come up with one, but then again a fair number I was unable to pull up any pictures for, so who knows... The pictures on that site won't show up for me... I suspect it's not very old and likely one of those fugures offered by Franklin Mint in their historical series...but who he iw I can only guess. Likely was markedw ith a paper label which is gone....unless it's resin. Linda C

Please listen to your doctor or at least look into the medication a bit further. Some antidepressants are used at different dosages to treat other symptoms--they are only truly antidepressants at the higher dosages. They get a bad rap because most people only learn about the side effects that mostly occur at the higher dosages. Here's info about Zoloft from PDRHealth.net (patient/consumer wing of the Physician's Desk Reference online): Recommended dosage for Zoloft ADULTS Depression or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder The usual starting dose is 50 milligrams once a day, taken either in the morning or in the evening. The doctor may increase your dose depending upon your response. The maximum dose is 200 milligrams in a day. Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder Doses may be prescribed throughout the menstrual cycle or limited to the 2 weeks preceding menstruation. The starting dose is 50 milligrams a day. If this proves insufficient, the doctor will increase the dose in 50-milligram steps at the start of each new menstrual cycle up to a maximum of 100 milligrams per day in the 2-week regimen or 150 milligrams per day in the full-cycle regimen. (During the first 3 days of the 2-week regimen, doses are always limited to 50 milligrams.) Panic Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, and Social Anxiety Disorder During the first week, the usual dose is 25 milligrams once a day. After that, the dose increases to 50 milligrams once a day. Depending on your response, you're the doctor may continue to increase your dose up to a maximum of 200 milligrams a day. I have a great ebay story.... I have both bought and sold, but my favorite was a family bible that I found on Ebay, with a lot of genealogy information in it. I wanted to purchase it for my cousin for Christmas. We are both genealogy nuts, and this bible was from his direct family. As it goes, this huge coffee table bible was a steal at $25.00 but at the last minute, some person came in a we went head to head on this until the price reached $75.00. I had to stop because it was out of my price range, and I was honestly sick to my stomache that I had lost this priceless piece of family history to who knows? I was crushed to say the least. I sent the person an email the next day and told him that I was crushed, but could he possibly photocopy the family info in the bible for me for my family history? Turns out he is a pastor that re-constructs old bibles in his spare time. He said he would sell me the bible, for his cost on one condition....that he would fix the binding and the brass lock on it and mail it to me in perfect condition. I was thrilled ! I got the bible, it was about 8 inches thick and about 100 years old. A real beauty. The pastor would not allow me to pay him for his work or shipping. A hint that I've used is .....
set all your serving bowls and platters on your table. Take a post-it note or just a little piece of paper and write what food goes in that dish. If you have a dish or something that is kept in the fridge or maybe in the stove, just write the note and lay it on the table.

Once I started doing this, we never forget forget any food.

I do the same thing!
Lay out the dishes and use post-its... PLUS I also lay out the serving pieces.

We put foods that needs to stay cold in the fridge, and food that needs to stay warm/hot in the hot box at school. Often between first lunch and second lunch we find a dish in the fridge we forgot to put on the line.

It happens, even at work. Thank goodness our manager knows we are human. :)

I had made homemade baked beans & early in the morning I cooked the italian sausage to put in the beans. No one picked it up but I forgot to put the sausage in.

Most of the time it is something that I left at home and we have to go back home after it. Last time I remember leaving something was the sherbet for the punch.

I use the post-it method, too for a buffet set-up. It really helps when there are extra hands at the last minute putting things out. All they have to do is check the post-its and they know right where to set things.
