Scalloped potatoes and ham, green beans, maybe eat up the rest of the lettuce in a salad and crescent rolls from a can.

DH is having lunch with his buddies today at 'On The Border' he will be bringing me a chicken fiesta salad home for my dinner~~YEA~~~no cooking~ ;)

We are having cranberry pork roast (I found the recipe on allrecipes.com) steamed rice so we can put the juice and cranberries on it and green beans.

We had Chicken Marabella which is marinated chicken in red wine vinegar, lots of garlic, olives and prunes all day. Popped it in the oven for an hour. Served it with basmati rice, and corn.
Oh, it's sooo good. Apple crisp for dessert.

Left over pot roast, gravy, rolls and ? some sort of vegetable....

I know Cynic doesn't like fruit cooked with his meat but the prunes and olives and capers are just wonderful flavours.

I had lunch at Logan's Steakhouse yesterday with Amber. I had the southwestern chicken, coleslaw, cinnamon apples and onion petals. Yeast rolls and iced tea. I brought part of my onion petals home. For my supper I only had an apple, too full for anything more.

I swear that is the LAST time I make scalloped potatoes in the oven! From now on they go in the crock pot! They boiled over and now I have a mess to clean up. The oven wasn't clean clean, but it is dirty dirty now! grrrrr

I've never made scalloped potatoes in the slow cooker.
Do you use a specific recipe Nodakgal?

Did you put your casserole dish on a baking sheet? Ooop I guess not. I always do, just because my scalloped potatoes tend to boil over too.

My sympathy Connie! I dumped a whole platter of sweet potatos one Thanksgiving in my oven. What a mess!

A cookie sheet under the dish?? Ohnooooooo that would be too smart wouldn't it? ;)

I have made them with cream of chicken soup and milk or the coffee creamer in both the oven or slow cooker.

Scalloped Potatoes
3 tablespoons flour
3/4 cup non dairy coffee creamer (powder)
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp garlic
1/8tsp pepper
mix together add 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Pour over sliced potatoes. Dot with butter. Bake 350 degrees til done. Uncover the last 15-20 minutes.

I make my potatoes with mushroom soup and milk. I pick out the brown bits of mushrooms the best I can......dh doesn't like mushrooms. But he loves my scalloped potatoes.

Do you use the same amount of liquid in the slow cooker as your oven potatoes?

It's been awhile since I've done them in the crock pot. But yep I think I did.
