Better Surf is a malware add-on.
Go to firefox > tools > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). Run a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the free version of malwarebytes

Yes apparently what he thought was flash player was not really that but a malware infection.

Install the free version of malwarebytes, update it then run full scan let it clean what it finds.
Be sure on the link above to get the free version and continue with the free version not a trial version. You can keep the free version and update it and run it weekly.

By the way this is one of the main ways some of the worst infections are happening right now including the ransomware infection cryptolocker. Never ever click on anything like a flash player or any update for anything on random web sites or pop ups only do them from the official download site for them or through the actual program by clicking on the update button.
It is essential to keep updated flash, java, and all adobe products because these are conduits to infections if not kept fully updated.

Another good site to check for all program update notices is over on LZD forum we keep a list there that is constantly updated with all the info and you can subscribe to that updates forum and it will notify you when new additions are added.
