unfortunately no Mike it could be enemies or those frienimies that once were friends and are no longer, often times they would do things like that simply because they can and they know it would be upsetting. Those people likely would not honor a request to please not do that. Or people that just get off on being A-holes they seem to be abundant. Also some people have been in groups or clubs etc and are no longer part of them, pictures of groups end up and not everyone in the group pic said it was ok to plaster their image every where. In fact I have been in pictures as a by stander and found my pic, had no idea it was there was never asked to be in a picture or to have it posted. Used to they had to ask permission to use your pictures and get signed release forms. Not to mention just being the polite thing to do. the thing about facebook is the opt out feature not opt in which makes if a bit different ballgame.

Alisande, just a heads up - Facebook has the same conditions that most websites do. Anything you post on their site gives them the right to use it. And they especially note that anything of yours that is shared by others gives them that same right even if you delete your account: "1 For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook (IP License). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it." I joined Facebook a few months ago and like it a lot. I've re-connected with a lot of people who used to be in our church, and a bunch more from college and law school. These are people I always liked, but we grew apart over time, as people do. I probably wouldn't sit down and write them an email or a letter or call them, but Facebook provides just a bit of contact. I'm interested to see their kids and hear a little about their jobs, and I like the odd comment about something interesting in their lives. This is about the right amount of contact for a number of my cousins, too. I am fond of them, but we really only see one another at funerals. I like seeing a little more of them on FB. I don't send food or hugs, I take lots of quizzes but post few of them, and I block posts from anyone who plays "Mafia Wars." I have things set to be pretty private, too. I also love the "Six Degrees of Separation" aspect, where you discover that an acquaintance from work knows your kid's friend's mom.:)

I think Ima's idea of two personal facebook pages is likely the way to go. None of the child's business what is on your 'adult' page, but refusing to befriend because of this might set up hurt feelings. Actually it could be considered an 'honor' to be asked by the future SD. She wants to include you and her father in her 'social life'. You could upset up a page that is husband and you together (besides the individual pages) and just use the joint one for pics of your family events, shout outs to between you all blah blah. Keep it 'family' focused. You can still be you and do as you please on your individual one...no need to edit and/or be afraid to socialize as you please. Just kinda remind 'Dad' that if you/he can set up multi facebook accounts, it won't be long before SD learns how to too if she has a mind to. Hope her mother seriously keeps on eye on her. kids do stupid things and can be very naive even while thinking they are all grown up and know it all.
