I don't care for chocolate in general but if I do eat it, it has to be dark with some kind of nuts or raspberry flavor added.

Yes, I love it - just can't eat it often - puts fat on my middle.

Strange how our tastes change as we get older. There was a time I wouldn't touch dark chocolate and now it's all I like. Milk chocolate got too sweet for me.

I LOVE dark chocolate. Tried that with the salt... what's up with the salt? I don't like salt on my chocolate! But add nuts, and I will be nuts for it. LOL

Ditto Patti . . . once loved only milk chocolate, now only dark. My favorite is Lindt 85% cocoa. Tried the 90%, but much preferred the 85.

I don't eat much chocolate at all, maybe once a year I will have it. I do bake with milk & dark all the time.

We always have some Lindt or Ghiradelli dark chocolate on hand. My new favorite is the Lindt bar with caramel brittle *and* sea salt.

I adore chocolate, can't have much of it, so I've learned to make the most of it when I can.
I once made a box of Frango's I got for Christmas last until March by hiding it from everyone else in the house. My sister HATES that I can do that! LoL

I will take a piece of chocolate, and totally immerse myself in the smell of it first.

If it's more than a reasonable mouthful, I'll take a bite with my lips wrapped around it, and bring it in onto my tongue where I deliberately taste it all the way up to my ears. If you've had good chocolate in your mouth, you know exactly what that means.

I then make sure all the surfaces of the inside of my mouth is covered in chocolate, smooshing my tongue around.

I made a yellow cake today, and used dark chocolate for the icing instead of cocoa. Everyone liked it.

Either/or. Depends on what it is used for. Prefer Milk Chocolate on Turtles/Pixies. Half a box makes a good snack.

I've always loved it. I remember when I was a kid my mom would get me a bag of Hershey's miniatures at Christmas & Easter. I loved the Special Dark best even then. I've never been much of a fan of milk chocolate. My favorite treats are dark chocolate covered coffee beans or a dark chocolate bar with ground espresso.

Dark chocolate is not going to make you fat!? If eating chocolate is putting fat on you then you aren't eating dark enough chocolate or you are gorging yourself on it. I cannot imagine eating more than a tiny piece. I hate it, it's a bitter vile nasty creation! GAG!

Dark chocolate lovers here. There is always a small dish of Dove Dark on a counter in the kitchen. I put 4 pieces in the dish every day. That is our daily ration.

dedtired -- Oh, you eat what our DGS (eight) calls 'the *healthy* cookies'. He will accept one of those when he gets a "No" begging for a second chocolate chip one. I don't think he really tastes them. Any sweet is gone in a flash. (He used to 'activate' in utero when DIL ate sweets.)

As someone else said ... I scarcely ever met a piece of chocolate that I didn't like.

Only if it has a raspberry cream filling - a pink one - not a chocolate flavoured raspberry filling such as is in a Truffle. I have always otherwise preferred milk chocolate - but only good milk chocolate - not something that is mostly paraffin - or called chocolate "candy". Actually with my ph etc. I am not even supposed to have chocolate - but every now and again.....And I do have a dog with very human like paws - fortunately he does not have thumbs - so I don't bring chocolate into the house. So I will have a piece every now and then. I do love Hazelnut Praline cream.

Salt is salt no matter what kind it is and you don't need salt in chocolate.

haven't made if for years, but the best chocolate frosting in the world, semi-sweet bits melted and sour cream added till a smooth spreading consistencey. you really need a pretty sweet cake to counter the tastes...

I'm not crazy about chocolate. I do like truffles...dark centers and milk chocolate on the outside. My daughter bought me some truffles from Trader Joe's and those are my favorite, I think. I can't stop eating them when they are around.
