Oh how I miss my KT! I've been reading periodically, but it's chaos here at our house. :) Things have been great! Number one, my mom is doing awesome with her sobriety and spent a month here with us. I think I gained 20 pounds with all the junkfood we ate and spent thousands of dollars shopping, much to my DH's dismay. :D

Since August, DH and I have been starting up a new investments business while juggling his pharmaceutical job and man, it's been tough! Weeks went by that I didn't see him because of business travel. We're about to launch next week and I don't know how we'll do it, but things will get even crazier, LOL!

The kids are wonderful! Bella's in first grade chugging along happily and Luca is in his 4's class at preschool. We've been decorating for the holidays- I can't wait for Christmas!

I've been praying for you all, wishing you happy birthdays, biting my nails with worry for lost dogs and births of babies. :) Here are some pics of us, some of you on MySpace or Facebook are familiar with these:

It's so good to see you again! Sounds like your life has been pretty busy.I'm glad to hear that your mom is doing so well.I love the generational photo.You all look like sisters! You are all beautiful and I can see the happiness in everyone's eyes.Luca and Bella are just precious.Oh,and your DH is pretty nice looking himself!LOL good luck in your new business and try to check in more often.We miss you!

Haley, wonderful to hear from you, and best wishes on your new venture. These are scarey times for new ventures...old ones too.

What a great looking crew you all are. Looks like you all are having a fun, happy time. Luka makes a perfect Indiana Jones, but I have to tell you that Tinkerbella has won my heart...those eyes and the Mona Lisa smile sure roped me in!

Holy Moly is right!!! Where have you been my friend! You mean to tell me you no longer have to threaten yours?lol You have been missed, at least by me anyway!!! I can't believe that you of all people have managed to keep a gardenia alive for more than one year..Yahooooo and congratulations. Now, can you tell how happy I am that you are back? Now that you are, I shall have to come around more often and check out your pictures of the gardenias that you didn't threaten...By the way, after throwing that other one in the woods, do you think the this one you have has been haunted by some demon plant! That could be it too... So happy your back Mersiepoo! Here are a couple of pictures especially for you I took today of mine growing all winter! Many hugs! Judith, Just wanted you to know that your Candy tree is featured in the "Tree Trimming - Your Pix" post by Garden Web!!! All the trees are beautiful to be sure but after seeing it last year you inspired me to make one of my own, kitchen sized like yours, and I've been collecting candy ornaments ever since. I'll post what I've got done later. Have a speedy recovery and let this be your year to just enjoy the spirit of Xmas without all the hassle. May it be your best one yet!!

I have antique ironstone, antique hutches and English/Irish pine tables found at fleamarkets and antique stores, as well as many CL finds that I've refinished/reupholstered. They're all mixed in with newer PB and RH pieces and Hubbardton Forge lighting that may be considered trendy but aren't to me because they suit my style. DD's changing table was an early American drysink that I loved but unfortunately no longer have a home for, so it was given to a family member to use in her new baby's nursery. An antique dresser that DH modified with a copper vessel sink is now a vanity in my powder room. My favorite piece of furniture is DD's antique iron bed from the 1800's, which is exactly what I would have loved to have had as a child. My second fav piece is my RH reclaimed pine dining table. I'll probably keep most of the items in my home as long as they last. Not making any effort to be unique - I try to buy only what I love. Rarely does anything leave my house after it comes in! My sister is the opposite - she gets bored with her furniture after a few years so she isn't as inclined to spend the effort refinishing furniture or spending extra on quality hardware. She has a beautiful home!

Hello, anyone still around? Seems like most of us are on FB these days (or other social media platforms/sites). Just wanted to check in and see how y'all were doing. Still out here in CO, and it's been quite a journey. If the Fates allow, it'll be only one more year here and then back east me and my bf (surprise!) go (he's originally from KY, went to college in IA). It's getting far too expensive here (and it's a tad too dry for us-we like the rain and greenery back home). Here is a gorgeous carnosa that I bought from Etsy. She was wrapped around some twigs the seller had fashioned into a makeshift trellis. She's in bloom and I barely lost any buds. Some umbels have faded, but here is a pic I snapped of one in full bloom. Landlady's one dog on the bottom left (miss Fae). And for fun, here's me with my bf. He's a plant lover too, and the Hoya I gave him back in the fall is blooming for him, too (a variety called David's Green Cup-bought it from Gardino's-a hybrid between carnosa and obovata; his name is David, so I thought it was fitting to get him that one :) ). Well THERE you are! I've been wondering where you were. Love the pics. You come from a long line of beautiful ladies. I'm so glad your mom is doing so well with her sobriety. Thanks for the pics of your kids....they sure are growing up! They are getting too old to call "precious"! haha Now don't stay away so long next time, ya hear?! :-)

LOL! BTW, thanks Jen, for your email weeks ago! I appreciated it soooo much! :D Thanks for the compliments, everyone!

Oh and the investment company we're starting is to help people out of their foreclosures and other real estate facets like lease options, wholesales and short sale-ing. It's a booming business right now. :)

All of you ladies are beautiful and I can certainly see a strong family resemblance! The kids are adorable as always and your hubby is still quite the looker! :-)

Ohmygoodness!! Honestly I knew "you" in the picture but wow for young beautiful looking women there!!! Its in the gene's I'd say and I can see how Bella and Lucas fit right in!!

Thanks for the early birthday wishes and yes, mom's sobriety is priceless. She has a new lease on life and is working her program.
