Oh how I miss my KT! I've been reading periodically, but it's chaos here at our house. :) Things have been great! Number one, my mom is doing awesome with her sobriety and spent a month here with us. I think I gained 20 pounds with all the junkfood we ate and spent thousands of dollars shopping, much to my DH's dismay. :D

Since August, DH and I have been starting up a new investments business while juggling his pharmaceutical job and man, it's been tough! Weeks went by that I didn't see him because of business travel. We're about to launch next week and I don't know how we'll do it, but things will get even crazier, LOL!

The kids are wonderful! Bella's in first grade chugging along happily and Luca is in his 4's class at preschool. We've been decorating for the holidays- I can't wait for Christmas!

I've been praying for you all, wishing you happy birthdays, biting my nails with worry for lost dogs and births of babies. :) Here are some pics of us, some of you on MySpace or Facebook are familiar with these:

It's so good to see you again! Sounds like your life has been pretty busy.I'm glad to hear that your mom is doing so well.I love the generational photo.You all look like sisters! You are all beautiful and I can see the happiness in everyone's eyes.Luca and Bella are just precious.Oh,and your DH is pretty nice looking himself!LOL good luck in your new business and try to check in more often.We miss you!

Haley, wonderful to hear from you, and best wishes on your new venture. These are scarey times for new ventures...old ones too.

What a great looking crew you all are. Looks like you all are having a fun, happy time. Luka makes a perfect Indiana Jones, but I have to tell you that Tinkerbella has won my heart...those eyes and the Mona Lisa smile sure roped me in!

Dan here from Traverse City Michigan. This'll be my first year wintersowing, and have a deep intense feeling it won't be my last! LOL!!! Had my first "garden" when I was 3, and haven't quit since. Can usually be found over in the round robin forums, "quietly" stirring things up! hehehe Got pushed over here by bakemom a few months ago, quickly edumacated about the whole ws thing, and have been saving milk jugs ever since. Right now I'm busy harvesting veggies and seeds, when not on the phone with my S.O. who is currently living in New York. But, she's moving in with me soon! Yay! Yay! Yahoo!!! Judith, Just wanted you to know that your Candy tree is featured in the "Tree Trimming - Your Pix" post by Garden Web!!! All the trees are beautiful to be sure but after seeing it last year you inspired me to make one of my own, kitchen sized like yours, and I've been collecting candy ornaments ever since. I'm continuing to hold my own. I had been 1 lb under my goal then up 1.6 but now I'm back down the .6 to my goal. I do much better when DH is out of town - easier to stick to my rigorous tracking of everything I eat plus no eating out. I was at the grocery store tonight getting some bread sliced at the bakery counter - where they had all kinds of gourmet desserts. I was practically drooling right onto the containers. I LOVE that stuff - I could eat a whole dessert in one evening. In fact one of the last "incidents" before the new healthier me in 2012 had to do with a french silk pie I bought for Christmas eve - kind of a tradition. Well I guess DH doesn't really like them any more so I ended up eating all but about 1/8th of the pie - in about 24 hours. Loved it but how disgusting is that. I did walk away without buying any dessert tonight. I will treat myself to a chewy chocolate calcium supplement instead..... I'm kind of detail oriented by nature and now I feel like I've taken that to a new level with weighing my food! I never did much of that in the past but with a lot of things that's what you have to do to tell how many portions you're really eating. It's kind of interesting - how much a portion is (and what I eat now) vs. how much I ate in the past. I've said it before and I'll say it again - unless you're an exercise maniac you just can't eat much and even maintain your weight let alone lose any. On the activity front I have had major problems with my leg. I think I mentioned before that I'm an above knee amputee and it's the prosthetic leg that's the problem. It's nine years old and everything is going to he!!. I got a new foot not too long ago but now my computerized knee is shot. It kind of works but needs to be replaced. The worst problem though is that it's custom fit to me and since I've lost the 8 lbs it's too big; i.e. falling off!! I started having that problem last summer but dropping the additional pounds has pushed it over the edge. They tried to temporarily fix that and made matters worse to the point I could barely walk - yikes!! I have come up with a reasonable temporary work around but now working feverishly to get a new prosthetic leg approved by my insurance company and constructed by my prosthetist. So the weather is starting to get a little warmer and I simply can't walk any where - which I hate. Oh well, happy I can just walk around the house and the office and that I have insurance that will cover most of the cost of the new leg. I'm not sure what's worse - knee problems with real legs or artificial legs. I kind of feel like it's easier to fix my knee problem - just buy a new one (easier as long as you have insurance coverage for such things).

I haven't been on in a long time... maybe months. My life has become almost entirely unbearable, which is one reason I don't come on... my problems are so overwhelming that people don't know what to say. I lost my job and had to go back to work for my father. Just last night he fired me again... for the 4th time.... then he got violent with me, refused to pay me and I found myself bloodied on the ground crumpled up outside his front door. I bet the only regret my little brother had was that he didn't die sooner. I don't know how he managed to survive and be such a sweet kid after so many years of that kind of abuse. I have shut down and life is so depressing I can't even go outside; all I do is cry and I feel totally emotionally incapable of finding another job even though I just graduated college at the top of my class (3 days before the tragedy). If it weren't for my mother I think it would be quite easy to just... stop... living. I know this isn't how life is supposed to be, and I felt so much better when I was away from Dad. I felt sorry for him and he needed help running his scrapyard. I wish he hadn't said all those horrible things about me, hadn't disowned me or beat on me. It may seem like I'm whining or that I've created my own problems but all I ever wanted was to be there for him in his grief and for him to be there for me. I didn't even provoke him; I worked hard and I don't think I deserve the way he's beaten me down. My big brother used to save me from him by being the object of his aggression, my little brother was so sweet and he always knew just what to say to calm Dad down. With both of these men dead and gone I am alone, I wanted Daddy to be nice to me like when I was little but the man has lost his mind.... Here is a link that might be useful: pics

Well THERE you are! I've been wondering where you were. Love the pics. You come from a long line of beautiful ladies. I'm so glad your mom is doing so well with her sobriety. Thanks for the pics of your kids....they sure are growing up! They are getting too old to call "precious"! haha Now don't stay away so long next time, ya hear?! :-)

LOL! BTW, thanks Jen, for your email weeks ago! I appreciated it soooo much! :D Thanks for the compliments, everyone!

Oh and the investment company we're starting is to help people out of their foreclosures and other real estate facets like lease options, wholesales and short sale-ing. It's a booming business right now. :)

Ohmygoodness!! Honestly I knew "you" in the picture but wow for young beautiful looking women there!!! Its in the gene's I'd say and I can see how Bella and Lucas fit right in!!
