I also buy whole cranberries and make the sauce. "Regular" for most of the family and "Jezebel" just for me, since most of the others don't like it. That's okay, I'm worth it.

I just made the whole that is on the bag today. I really do like the recipe of Gazania's. Might make it for Christmas as I still have plenty of cranberries.

We make the whole cranberry sauce, but I do buy a can of the jellied sauce too. Ocean spray for both.

Raw cranberries, raw, whole orange (thin skinned organic), sugar. Grind together and chill. It tastes better if made the day before.

When I make it I do it like rhizo. Soo good. Sometimes I make Jezebel, too. Not making any cranberries this year. The kids won't eat them and I can't so why bother. I really do like the whole cranberry sauce in a can, though. Publix is as good as Ocean Spray, IMHO.

I have both Ocean Spray whole berry and jelled cran sauces, also their juices, sometimes their fresh berries, and sometimes their dried 'craisins'....Ocean Spray is about 20 minutes from here and I don't mind supporting local jobs :), they've added one avenue of stability to a faltering economy (logging, fishing) in this community for decades.

The jellied cranberry sauce is almost a year round staple here, by favorite BIL loves it with fish, chicken, just about anything and I keep it for him, cans in the refrigerator, he likes it cold.

We'll have the canned Thanksgiving, my Wednesday will be busy enough with the desserts (5 pies, 4 types so everyone gets their favorite), dressing, appetizers I'm taking to my sisters for a two day holiday without adding another recipe to my work.

For me it is Ocean Spray jellied. I don't like the homemade or the whole berry.

I'm thinking that I should get a can of the jellied stuff, just in case someone won't like mine. I've not seen it on a table for years....but I guess it's still popular. I use it for one of my BBQ sauce recipes.

Home made. Two kinds. Relish/raw and compote/cooked. We are huge fans. We eat canned year round with pork. For the holidays I make "the good stuff".

Homemade! Although no sauce this year. Instead, I'm just making the fluffy cranberry salad (ground fresh cranberries, pineapple, ground walnuts, mini-marshmallows, cool whip, and powdered red jello - all mixed up the day ahead of time so it sits and gets nice and soft and fluffy). Some years, I do make a sauce using fresh cranberries, nuts, celery, etc. Other years I make cranberry muffins. There is always something cranberry on the menu, but this fluffy salad is my absolute favorite.

I love all kinds of cranberry sauce. My son who is cooking this year and is quite a foodie love the Ocean Spray jellied in a can! His sister thinks that is pretty funny since he likes everything else homemade!!! So we will probably have both the jellied and the whole! I could eat cranberry sauce every day!!!

Homemade from the berries. It's about the easiest and yummiest thing on the menu. I keep bags of the berries in the freezer so I can make it anytime. Takes about 10 minutes to make!

I make it too. It is too easy not to make it yourself and so much better. I also make a relish with pineapple and pecans in it.

I prefer homemade with berries.

Jellied from the can,and has to be oceanspray.I'm the only one that likes the whole berries,so I buy those for me.

The whole berries are so good when you toast a bagel,spread cream cheese on it and top it with whole berry sauce.

I make the raw recipe that rhizo mentioned. I orange, 1 bag of cranberries put through the food processor, add 1 cup sugar. I LOVE the Ocean Spray sliced cranberry sauce I get at the restaurant, but they don't sell that version in the stores. I buy cranberries and freeze them this time of year so that I can have my raw sauce all year long with chicken.
