Suggest a remedy for chapped hand and breaking of nails
Comments (8)My hands get chapped rough and dry in winter and especially at gardening time. The best thing I found for them is a 2 step process.. First I put a little sugar in the palm of my hand--not quite a teaspoon although I never measure. Then I pour baby oil over the sugar until it's soaked and procede to scrub my hands. This acts as an exfoliant and removes all the dead dry skin. Then rinse off the sugar and use a little liquid soap to remove the rest of the sugar but still leave some oil on my hands. Then pat them dry but don't remove all the moisture. Then I apply Glysomed hand cream, just like any other hand cream. This is a realitively cheap hand cream you can get in most stores. I got my last ones at Walmart. It containsGlycerine, Silicone and Chamomile and is fragrance free. This has to be the best hand cream I've ever used. This combination will leave your hands soft and smooth and doesn't cost the earth to do...See More? for lipstick wearers

I also dab some under my nose when I go to bed. Clears up the nostrils real good. Hubby won't kiss me on the lips of course and he hates the smell. When I'm feeling I need to get back at him for something I put some on my cheek where he kisses me goodnight....See MoreRemoving Chap Stick?
Comments (14)Well after a weekend of experiments, I managed to save all the pants, and a few shirts. Two shirts still have some faint marks that I may continue to work with. Here's what I did. 1st wash: Zout stain remover and Tide HE powder with Bleach Alt - mildly effective: 1 pair of pants recovered. 2nd wash: Ecover stain remover and Ecover zero powder: worked well - that seemed to take out most of the problems, and 2 shirts and 1 pant saved. The Ecover stain remover is excellent and has a nice litle brush top to work it in. 3rd wash: Charlies pre-spray, on a 8 hour delay wash with Charlie's liquid soap: Also worked well - Took care of a shirt and the last pair of pants 4th wash: Lestoil (found at an Ace hardware) and biokleen cold water liquid: Didn't seem to touch what was left. At this point, it could have been a lost cause, but it did make a Bobby Brady suds fest, so I had to do a couple detergent free washes with 3 extra rinses each just to get it passably rinsed. Definitely one of those days where I miss my old top loader. Funny thing is after all those washes, the fragrance from his detergent/FS is still fairly strong. Must have been developed for pig farmers. Not sure what else I could try..maybe some Persil 2n1 as a pretreater/wash, maybe some goop hand cleaner, then after that I have some grease and wax remover that I use on my car :)...See MoreIt's that time of the year...I need a good lip balm

But unlike chapstick, it adds a little of shine along with a little bit of color. I like how it looks when have a little bit of foundation over my lips then just add a little bit of the rose vaseline for color and shine. https://www.target.com/p/vaseline-lip-therapy-fragrance-free-rosy-lips-twin-pack-2ct-0-5oz/-/A-52465425?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df&fndsrc=tgtao&DFA=71700000049427611&CPNG=PLA_Health%2BShopping_Local%7CHealth_Ecomm_Essentials&adgroup=SC_Health&LID=700000001170770pgs&LNM=PRODUCT_GROUP&network=g&device=c&location=9031321&targetid=aud-554348706659:pla-324196127945&ds_rl=1246978&ds_rl=1248099&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8P6hxKfX9AIVVRh9Ch08EQ27EAQYAyABEgIwSfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds...See More- 11 years ago
