Question about Firefox

I am finally giving Firefox a try....but the text is way too tiny. In Internet Explorer, there is a scroll-down choice of text size under "View"....is there a similar feature for Firefox....I sure can't find it and it is totally useless to me without that. Thanks!

Go up to the Menu bar....click on View, then Zoom...and select Zoom in or Zoom out.

I use the CTRL key and scroll on the mouse to make the font larger or smaller if I need it as I am reading.

hello, the machine is only 3 years old,yes i did destroy all the data on it after i formatted.i still have the larger drive but it won't read it. last night a neighbor gave me a windows 2000 disc and i formatted the drive again and it worked;it saw the full capacity of the drive and is ready to use, however when i try to bring the second drive with 225 + gigs of data on it it will not see it no matter how i switch things around bios won't read it, so i took it out, the drive i have working is set to master and is the only drive in the pc but bios says it is a secondary slave drive but it is on the primary ide channel and set to master!!everything in bios is set to auto detect drives,but as soon as i connect the other drive as a slave drive and reboot, the computer freezes and gets stuck on the post screen and hangs.funny thing is when i take that drive and put it in the hard drive enclosure that converts regular drives to use with usb and plug it into the computer i am on right now and reboot, windows comes up and says : found new hardware,mass storage usb device,your hardware is installed and ready to use,it even gives me a new drive letter,shows the drive as a western digital drive but... when i click on the drive letter it says please insert a disk into drive j....hmmm

Morning Gene. Oh yes you are right there were a few members who were treated as the golden child. How about those who thought they had seniority rights and would let you know about it? I've been here since 1999. My page says 2001 and I can't explain that. Maybe the Disney Penal Colony took off time for bad behavior. :) When I was banished I did make a cursory attempt to return under a different alias. My closest friends here knew who I was and some members guessed as I received some e-mails asking. Quess what? Someone ratted me out to Spike as I got banished again and my whole ISP got blocked. So now I got mad. I reregistered a third alias from work. You wouldn't guess what happened next? Someone tattled again, but this time I knew who as he shared the information with one or two others. (He is no longer here by the way) My whole work ISP got blocked. A sort time later ivillage bought the site and I received Pooh Bear's kind assistance. DA

I imported my post from another thread. FF12 beta 1 was released around March 16, 2012, followed by five more betas. The most recent beta 6 around April 18, 2012. A supposed final was released around April 22, 2012. I have read that there is some user confusion as to it being an actual final version, or just a RC (release candidate). I have also read some reported concerns regarding stability of this final/RC version. I myself am waiting for a clarification and a popular position on the release. As always, with any application a user must use caution when exploring betas and RCs. DA

When text is too small, I hold down on "control" (Ctrl)(and move the roller ball on the mouse forward). Don't know if that would be a fix for you or not.

Go to view, then zoom and it takes you to another level which is "in" or "out"

Hit the CTRL and the + key.
the Minus key decreases the size.

Firefox has several different add-ons for enlarging text, page, etc.

The link is for a page of various add-ons. You might want to try a couple and see which you like best.

I use the Zoom Toolbar.

BTW, do you have the latest version of Firefox? It is v. 3.6.10.

you want to set that size for all websites you visit the best way to do that is not to use the zoom way but to change the setting in your firefox it self. At the top click on Tools > Options> under content tab go to fonts and colors there you can change your font size so it is a larger size. For example mine is set on 20. That should take care of it for you.
you might want to check out some of the helpful sites to get you going with firefox. I LOVE firefox and all the great add ons for it. Feel free to ask if you have questions and you can go to computer help forum here on GW too.

I use large fonts on everything I can. It helps prevent eye strain.

I learned a lot in just 2 minutes from this posting. Maybe I should take a class in computers. I learned most of what I do by trial and error.
