My camera isn't anything fancy. It's a Panasonic fz28. It's a few years old now, so it's actually a little outdated. I might get an upgrade myself for my birthday this year. It's sort of funny about Dragon King because I was looking at his blooms just yesterday and they are looking much more pale due to the heat (hitting 90 now). I guess I got all of these pictures at just the right time!

Hello everyone... I haven't had much time to spend online lately. Carol is right, my beloved Bob passed away yesterday afternoon at 1:00 pm. Two weeks from tomorrow, he fell while trying to put his jeans on while s tanding up instead of using the bench.. and broke his left hip.. He got through the surgery great, but then when he was transferred to the rehab center, he suffered a heart attack, an pneumonia, so they transported him back to the hospital, where they found he had a high fever, and his kidneys were shutting down.... One thing led to another and he passed away yeaterday.... I am still in a state of total shock and it hurts worse than I ever thought I could hurt. I am honored that you like my recipe for the honey wheat bread... I love to play with my food and that includes baking bread... nevah know what you will make that you just don't want to live without... Enjoy everyone. xoxo Carolyn

Yes, My husband passed on Jan. 31. He had suffered from a broken hip and then everything went downhill quickly from there. Pneumonia, heart attack, renal failure, bladder infection, UT infection. We had his Memorial service on Valentine's Day evening at our church. Preservice Music started at 6:00, 6:30, Bro. Ronnie , opening comments and prayer Deb. M. recited a poem I wrote for Bob titled "Since Yesterday: Music, "Dancing With the Angels" Bro. Ronnie - Message and spoke of his relationship with Bob Music - Amazing Grace done by Il Divo at the Roman Coliseam complete with Bagpipe music which is traditional for a retired firefighter. Music - Bro. Ronnie and his brother Robert sang "When God Ran" Bro. Ronnie, closing remarks Me, with a special reading of something that had been layed on my heart about grief and how God Can use it to do something good. Music - Oh my my, I'm a gonna fly up to see my Jesus".. the entire congregation participated... It was uplifting and celebratory. No typical funeral type music at all. Altogether it really helped me look at Bob's passing with more of a positive attitude and it gives me the "want to's" to just move forward doing what God wants me to do each and every day.... I have many moments of crying, aching from missing that ol codger so dang much, but then I remember that he is now in the arms of Jesus .... and what better place could anyone every wish for??? I will eventually feel some semblance of normalcy again, but for now I feel as if I have been innoculated with a massive dose of novacaine... I am numb with grief, but hopeful for moving forward and looking forward to the day when I will be called home and reunited with my beloved Bob. Thank you for asking. Carolyn

Hi.. thank you Gemini for thinking of me....I drop in now and again.. but my life is going 90 mph.. and I mostly post at TMH and FB anymore.... The lack of rain has stunted much of the corn, but some of it looks like it will make a few ears... and the tomatos are doing pretty good... but Larry wouldn't listen to me and bought some plants that that have played out some time ago... meaning that the plants become inferior over the years...but he is learning... aaand the hired help looking after it.. well can't see all that well, and we ended up losing a bunch of tomato plants to hornworms.. The blueberries are doing well.. and I am hoping to plant maybe another 150 next spring.. We have been to Iowa twice to pick up some of his belongings, and to go to his daughters graduation from college.. and to Missouri a bunch of times... This month we have made two trips to Missouri to the VA hospital to get a cyst checked.. and now they tell us he has to have major surgery in St. Louis since the cyst us growing over his carotid artery... We were in st. Louis this week to see his cardiologist. and got a clean bill of health there.. Yahoooey.. and we went to visit yet another cousin... While in Fisk, Mo at his place there.. I decided to clean out his kitchen.. (typical batchelor quarters.. ) I spent two days on that.. and ended up bringing home a bunch of boxes full of Revere Wear and restaurant china dishes.. and some utensils... a deep fryer, a forman grill, and I can't even recall everything...I'll say this.. the man should go down in the Guuinness book of world records for stuffing sooon much stuff into his cupboards.. holey moley joe.. arry has given me free reign to do whatever it is I wish to do to his place there... so the wheels are a turning.. lol While in Fisk this trip, we went yto Dexter to look at some 5th wheel RV's.. and I found one that I loved and surprise surprise.. it isn't the most expensive one.. LOL It was a 38 foot RV.. and he was all set to go get it since I liked it... (crazy man).. but I want to see if I can get one similar slightly used for half of what this one cost new.. and besides.. we have so much to do this year that we don't have time to go anywhere for a month or two at a time.. He wants to go to the keys for a couple of months next winter.. and I love the idea... especially since I love snorkeling... and we can take the pups.. We had planned on getting hitched next Feb. 14th. but I have put it off for a bit longer.. there are a few loose ends I need to get tied up first.. and I need for our pastor to help me with some counseling about his beliefs... Suffice it to say... I have been busy busy busy and we have been like Willie Nelson... "On the road again ". LOL Hugs, Carolyn
