Asking for Prayers for Niece's Husband

in Mississippi. He had a seizure at work yesterday, was taken to the local hospital and airlifted to a hospital in Mobile Ala. Brain tumor, and now they are saying they think this tumor is secondary to other tumors in his body. He is in his late 40s I think, such a nice man. My heart just goes out to him. Thank you all in advance, I have seen the results of the prayers of KTers.

Prayers coming your way to help in your familys time of need. The power of prayer is so awesome, and this is such a great family to be with here, know that we are praying for a quick sale to some wonderful people that will enrich your lives and be great neighbors. I know its hard to do, I am the last one in my family to own our grandparents homeplace and we have it on the market. Another Update My husband will find out in a few weeks if he will need to have surgery on his hands. The surgeon will determine if he needs a skin graft but we do not think he will. The surgery is really for a tendon that will not stretch to allow him to close his hand very tightly into a fist. My hubby can make a fist but it is not a tight one but he says he doesn't need the surgery. He takes off the pressure gloves at times to give his hands a break so air can get to the new skin. The back of his hands look really good considering that the burns were 3rd degree. The attending doctor in the Burn Clinic at his last visit said his hands look so good that he may not have to wear the gloves much longer.

I say prayers for everyone in that situation whenever I am reminded of them. Like I said, I was only at the blood center and the families and friends all touched my life. It was scary at times, especially when he had a fungal infection that was not responding to antibiotics. His flesh was coming off and they didn't know what it was until the culture came back. Once they got the right stuff treating it, everything turned around. That was the infection that delayed his transplant, but as I said, he is nearly ready to return home now and was able to drive out for the day on Thanksgiving. It was great. I wish I could be there in person so you could see and feel the hope. I'll send all I can by angel wings.

thank you Phyllis, and yes it is sad, he is young, and had no prior symptoms. It is a reminder to enjoy each day to the fullest, because you just never know.....

Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. Caroline, his first name is Lawrence and he lives in Mississippi, is in hospital in Mobile Alabama. They have done more tests but told my niece last night that they would not be able to tell her anything until monday. They did say the type of tumor it is, is always secondary to other tumors in the body, so they are doing MRIs etc. Very scary and sad time for them. He has two grown sons and three beautiful little granddaughters. They are worried about their Poppa.

I hope whatever type of cancer it is that they have caught it early enough for successful treatment. Sending good thoughts and prayers for him.
