Crochet Ribbon Necklace Pattern

Would anyone have a T&T "crochet ribbon necklace pattern", I have been seeing them at craft shows and would like to make one.

I don't have any patterns...but I saw one online that I plan to make...it was five small double flowers crocheted with a beige tread, attached to a crocheted chain. I think it would look nice on a black top.

I didn't know what you were talking about so I Googled and found several patterns.Some are free.Pretty stuff!

Can a bracelet be made with this same pattern? Were they made as children and now crafter's are making them & selling them? I might of found the instructions at www.ehow.com? Look under the 'How To' tab and then search for, 'How to make a 'Knotted Thread Necklace'. Let me know if this is it or not, okay. My sister & I used to make these as girls and used the empty cardboard that held bolts of fabric and a T pin to secure our necklaces and bracelets at the top while knotting them. It is also what they call macrame. Good luck!!!

Gail - See link below for Google search for crocheted mitten ornaments. Maybe there is one like your old favorite... I also have a book with a crocheted mitten ornament... picture is of pink mittens with 1/8" satin ribbon at cuff ends, on page 133 in "Scrap Saver's Christmas Stitchery," by Sandra Lounsbury Foose, published in 1986. Thanks Loads for the link to trellis yarn necklace,I was not aware of the necklace. Have made several shawls with Trellis and they are always a hit. The last time I found Trellis yarn, was at Big Lots and a Dollar store, yep it is apparently being discontinued. Have a stash of Trellis, and will make the necklace. Ann

I also look them up...I didn't realize you meant it was crocheted out of the ribbon...I think it would be rather simple. It almost looks like just a chain stitch, several strands of it.

That is the link I was going to provide, too, Patti.

However, I cannot find the ribbon ANYWHERE! I have tried all of the different Dollar stores, fabric stores, craft stores, Big Lots, WMart, KMart, etc. etc.

The prices to order online seem a bit pricey.

Does anyone know where to find it?? TIA

Don't know if they still carry it, but I have bought it at Michael's and Joann's in the past. You won't find it where the "regular" ribbon is. It is with the yarn and on cardboard rolls, like the bedspread crochet cotton is.

I also tried Michaels, Joann, and Hobby Lobby too. No Luck, at least around here.

I have a few skeins of this stuff and I really don't like working with it. I have 2 or 3 different colors. I also have some similar yarn (not really yarn) in a few more colors. If any of you are interested in having some, send me an email. I can take pictures showing you what I have. I'd be happy to get rid of the stuff for just the cost of the postage and maybe a dollar for the packaging.

I'm not trying to use this forum to sell anything really. I just can't see throwing it away and I know I will never use it. I tried, but I don't like the way it feels, I don't like the way it looks, I just plain don't like it.
