I posted earlier but realize I had her name wrong. Hope she gets this, or if amyone can help me, I would appreciate it.

I had saved an older posting where you offered gag gift verses I tried to post to it but it doesn't show up. I also tried to find an email for you but don't believe there is one.

Do you have a verse for the Grandparens Survival Kit and for the parents ( including both parents of a 1 year old)

I'm thrilled with all that you offerd last year

I recently found some very small Christmas socks- maybe 3" and thought they would make nice gift tags with your idea of survival kits.

I have saved the verse for nurse. I intend to make a small card with a clip art nurse on the front, the verse inside, and a plastic little bag with the contents, slipped into the sock. I think it should be cute.

I do hope you see this. I wish there was a way that we could bring your posting up again as I'm sure many would be interested. It was posted in November 2007

Hi Lindie, I'm Tiffany. I visit gardenweb most days, but not always this particular forum. Just depends on my mood and time available. I'm in AL, just north of FL, moved here in 07 from OH and absolutely love it. Nobody is in a hurry, and there's something blooming all year. We often spend Saturdays or Sundays at the beach, or swimming in a nearby cold spring or spring-fed lake. We like camping, inviting tons of people over for a BBQ, exploring dirt roads to see what we can see, fishing, drive-in movies, canoeing, sitting around the fire - ours or somebody else's, kites... I've been to most states east of the Mississippi, Canada, Europe, but am also a homebody most of the time. I also like gardening (obviously,) cooking, cross-stitch and the gridded/geometric art associated with it, occasionally rearranging my seashell collection, reading about any type of fiction and non-fiction from areas of interest, driving my car on a beautiful day when time doesn't matter, watching the sun set, scrabble, and dancing if nobody is looking. I used to like skiing but there is no snow here, and hiking but am too afraid of encountering a poisonous snake to do that here. My daughter went to college this year, about an hour away, and I miss her but am glad she's doing well and having fun. I've met a very nice man here and am totally in love with him and his dog, and they moved in with my son and I earlier this year. He's smart, funny, fixes things, and does cool stuff like making a fire pit, bat house, tilling up a veggie patch, and mowing with the bag so the grass and leaves can go in the compost and on the beds. The fenced-in yard, central air, much bigger kitchen, and much more light from windows are why we decided on my house instead of his. There are a ton of lizards, skinks, squirrels, birds, and geckos that live here, an occasional armadillo, and various neighborhood cats and dogs that come to the yard to visit our dog. We've had a few hummingbirds and a ton of butterflies this year, they are always visiting the zinnias, lantana, basil, and plumbago. About a year before I met him, my oven quit working right - it would come on but not turn off when it reached the desired temp, it just kept getting hotter and hotter. Since I hardly ever used it, and 3 of the stove burners still worked, I didn't try to have it fixed or replaced. I was already much more of a toaster oven user, especially in the summer, when the thought of turning on anything that would create so much more heat is just unbearable! When he moved in here, his oven was one of the benefits (major or minor, depending on time of day and what I cooked for dinner - LOL!) It's just a basic one with coiled electric burners and it has a self-cleaning feature but hopefully that would never be needed. There's no dishwasher here, besides me, so it's rare that I would cook any meal without foil. And I've always lined my ovens with foil, and always put a sheet of it or a baking...

kathleen, Thank you, as Catie stated here, yes I am the same one (but I hear there is another Mary Ruth out there, have not met her yet!) Catie, Thank you for posting that picture! I have been so busy that I didn't get a chance to come back to try again. I think I got it now. I will try a couple of pictures in this post! patricia, I just love it when you like someone online, then you meet her (Judith) and find out she is even more fun and brighter IRL! You collect clocks, so you will recognize that mine are clock-wanna-bes! None of them are real, they are all the battery type with the clock face insert! I didn't pay much for them, at first I got them as place-holders for the real thing when I can get them. Each individual one is not that special, but somehow all together they look better. I love real antique clocks and someday maybe I'll get one or two! My 'faux' clocks do not tick, nor do they keep good time, they are just for me to look at! I do have a real mantel clock that ticked and chimed, DH made me turn it off, he said it woke him up! I love the sound of clocks! Here i a picture of the page that shows the layout I typed the instruction since they are hard to read the photo YouÂll need: worsted -weight 4 ply yarn (3.5 oz) Approx. 3 skeins each off-white Light blue Light brown med brown dk brown Bears can be all one color if you like. Crochet Hook G (gee) Large wiggle eyes 20 pair sew-on type. brown buttons for belly buttons (I didnÂt do the belly buttons) You could embroider them or crochet the eyes. Basic Granny square used Chain 4 join then Row 1. Ch 3 (counts as first DC). 2 DC into ring, Ch 3, (3 dc in ring, Ch 3) 3 more times. join with sl st to top of Ch 3. Row 2. SL st to Ch 3 space, Ch 3 (counts as first DC) in same space work 2 dc, Ch 3, 3 dc,*ch 1, in corner (ch-3 space), work 3 dc, Ch 3, 3 dc. Repeat from * two more times, join with sl st to top of chain 3. Row 3. Sl st to any corner space, Ch 3, work 2 dc,ch 3, 3 dc in space, *ch1 3dcin Ch 1 space, ch1, 3 dc, 3 dc in corner. Repeat from * two more times., tie off. this is just a basic 3 row granny square. 1. Crochet the background. With blue make 93 granny squares. 2. Crochet the teddy bear. (Note: each bear consists of four brown squares, two off-white squares and two ears. Make a total of 20 teddy bears. Using the above squares: The face: following basic granny square instructions work Row 1 in brown, Rows 2 and 3 in off-white. Body Work four brown and one off-white square. Ear Make 2 for each bear. With G hook Ch 4, join with sl st to form ring. Row 1 Ch 3, work 30 DC in ring, turn Row 2, Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 DC in each st around, tie off 3. Assemble Following diagram, and using matching yarn, sew squares together. NOTE: it is easier to first sew all the Teddy bears faces and bodies together and then sew the background squares. Sew ears on after all bears are sewn together. See Fig 2. 4. Sew wiggle eyes to face and buttons to "belly" After you make all your squares, lay out so squares are on angles similar to diagram . 2009 was good in that another greatgrandchild joined our family, a beautiful little girl. The downside to this year has been the economy with soooooo many people jobless, almost lost a granddaughter to spinal meningitis, so praying the new year brings good health to all my loved ones and jobs. Thanks Minnie, I've been wondering what to do for my 88 yr old DM for Christmas. She has everything she needs, and this sounds like a lovely basket to make up.

Laurel I remember when My Mon had her 88th birthday on her cake I had them write
88 Ain't she great!!

and on her 89th
89 Ain't she fine!!

The gals in the bakery were so excited about it too. maybe you can use the idea for a Christmas card or something And Congrats to your Mom give her a hug for me (a nice gentle one!!)

Sneaking here in and thanks. These are better than this year's craft items. Don't know what happened but after 2 shows I went to, nothing new, but nothing stands out.

I like your idea of a little basket, Laurel. I can picture a little basket with tissue paper crumpled inside, and the articles buried in the tissue paper, a note on top with the verse and the whole thing in a tent of clear celephane with a nice big bow on top. I didn't know I had such an imagination.
