Jeepers, why all the Apple dislike? I have to admit that I used PCs at work and was pretty good with them, back in the old DOS days. Then I quit my job and went to grad school, which had the old original Apple computers. Oh, the joy of using a mouse! The user interface with icons, instead of having to remember each and every little DOS command. I became an Apple convert then and there and have never looked back. I work on a PC (literally, I only use one at work), and play on my iMac. And I went out the very first day the very first iPod went on sale and bought one. They were tucked away in the back of the Apple store, around a corner. The sales person I asked didn't even know where they were and had to ask someone else for help. All the Specs I've read show this Processor as a Dual Core, the Laptops themselves show up in the BIOS and in Windows as a Quad Core Processor. 2. The Specs also show it has a VGA Connection, these laptops don't. 3. It does have an mSATA Slot they didn't even mention in the Specifications anywhere I've looked, not even at the Acer Website. 4. I have upgraded these Laptop from 4gb to 12gb RAM. I've also upgraded them both with 256gb mSATA SSD Drives. Last but not least, they've been upgraded to Windows 10!

I use to have a couple of very Cheap Bluetooth Dongles that I used and they worked great. They did after many years of service fall apart! I tried replacing them with more expensive dongles and couldn't get them to work. Snidely is right, kinda hit and miss. I do however think your problem my be deeper. Since the release of Windows 10 there have been lots of problems with WiFi Adapters and Bluetooth Adapters not functioning correctly or not at all. The 2 Acer Laptops I purchased a year ago had Windows 8 installed when I purchased them. I installed Windows 8.1 shortly after the purchase. The WiFi/Bluetooth Adapter worked great in Win 8 & 8.1. Once I installed Windows 10 on July 29th neither the WiFi or the Bluetooth worked. I ended up buying two New Cards for the Laptops and now the WiFi/Bluetooth are working great. My sister purchased the same laptop with the same WiFi/Bluetooth Card, after the Windows 10 upgrade her card works fine, no problems. The funny thing, the card that stopped working worked fine in a different Acer Laptop with Windows 10 already installed!

I really was taken aback by the "holier than thou" take on my post. I sure don't feel that way, nor did I intend to come off that way. Hands free is legal in my state, however, the law now prohibits any contact with your cell, even when stopped in traffic. I've never used my cell in the car, I never look at texts and certainly wouldn't text myself. If hands free were illegal, I wouldn't do it. I never used my phone in the car before I had hands free and it is really a rare occasion when I do now - maybe to let someone know I'm stuck in traffic or running late. I have one route I take on a 2 lane country highway to my cabin, with long stretches of open road and sometimes I will talk to a friend for an extended period, but that, too, is rare. I am careful about when and where I talk, not on unfamiliar roads or when traffic seems to be erratic. I do feel like I am a super aware driver, I drive defensively. The same with my GPS...I always put in the address before I start moving and it talks me through maneuvers. I do glance at the dash display to see what the next move is going to be and how far away it is, but like I said above, it's no more of a glance than at my speedometer. I guess you can be livid if you want. I hope you don't ever turn on your car radio, or change the station or listen to the news. For some people that could be a big distraction and time with your eyes off the road. Same with smokers who light up while driving. Or people who drink their lattes, or even sip from water bottles. Only one hand available to control your car. I think it's a spectrum of distractions and abilities.
