THANK YOU!!!! This is exactly what I needed! No pictures necessary! I hadn't even though about it until now but a good friend is a great cook, he grew up around a restaurant his parents invested in. Surely between asking him and Buehl's writeup I can figure it out. I hadn't even thought of asking a buddy as my plan was to decide where things should go with my Girlfriend (Now Ex) but my two cook kitchen turned into a one cook kitchen a bit unexpectedly. As for my cooking abilities.... well.... Lets just say that I learned the hard way, the smoke alarm isn't suppose to be used as a cooking timer. I am getting better but still haven't strayed far from the microwave or canned goods. After working so much on this kitchen I am determined to become a cook one way or another. I have a long way to go but my buddy has already offered to help teach me. Thanks again! Everyone on this forum has no idea how good you have made me feel. I love my kitchen of course but to know that even one other person thinks it's pretty is VERY nice. You have all made me feel so good and it has made all the hard work worth it. This remodel was so stressful on us having two kids and it being a DIY. By the time it was done I almsot hated the poor kitchen. Having all these wonderful comments has just been great and made me and hubby feel sooo good. No complaints...but then again I guess I don't know what else is out there. :) fori ~ I love bananas! I wish I had a bigger yard and and a tad hotter summer. I'm pretty close to the ocean so my temps are very mild which is nice for people but I think the bananas would prefer some more heat. I also have a jamacian red but it' s a baby still. Since I'm registered as a contributor with FindAGrave, I get emails when a request is made for a photo in my area. The only problem is, FindAGrave must think "my area" is awfully big! I've gotten requests for cemeteries in New York, as well as parts of PA that I never visit. Maybe this is because when I attended my cousin Terry's funeral in NY two years ago, I impulsively took a picture of a gravestone that caught my attention--and it turned out to be one that someone had requested. So I filled a request in NY, and I guess that set me up to receive other requests in that area. The other thing I do with FindAGrave is just photograph gravestones at random, and upload them to that cemetery's listing on the website as needed. Sometimes the deceased is already mentioned (has a memorial) on the website, and someone else has taken the picture. That doesn't happen very often, but if it does, I just don't upload mine. Sometimes the deceased has a memorial but no picture, and in that case I add mine. Most often, no memorial exists, so I create one, uploading the photo along with information such as name, dates, and links to spouses or parents. I just checked my FindAGrave status. So far I've only filled 16 photo requests, but I've created 492 memorials and have added 689 photos. I'm also registered at raogk.com (Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness), but don't hear from them very often.

"Peacock Horticultural Nursery...he is far from an upstart" mea culpa! He needs a more professional nursery sign...it looked a bit, cursory though I can't remember the details. Not sure if it was black spray paint on a weathered piece of plywood...but it might have been. I was just driving around and saw that sign and thought, hhhmmmm. Really, another "horticultural" nursery? So close to the one I'm trying to reach? I'm glad the word's meaning isn't being diluted...and I'm glad you were able to set the record straight! I wonder if the origin of the term 'Horticultural' lies in the fact that there was so much agriculture in that region, that many nurseries 100 to 50 or so years ago would have been focused on supplying food and crop plants? I'm not aware of anywhere else in the world where the term is used that way. Understood about acid soil and Sonoma County. The same problem keeping a lot of people in the UK from growing rhodies. And also, yes, it's worrisome to think what will someday happen to Polo's nursery. Like most nursery owners, he isn't a spring chicken anymore haha. Hopefully someone or something will be able to take it on...non-profit, or local government, or really rich person who can hire a couple gardeners! You really should visit in early April, that seems like the peak.
