Well..red flags start popping up for ME!(I tend to question everything) and I told my friend that the whole things smacks of a SCAM to ME. I told my friend to email the lady back and ask for a phone number and tell her that due to the fact she is a new customer and the order is so large, that she could only accept cash. This is the email she got back from the girl:

Hello Sis, i told you in my earlier msg that am a deaf mother of 2kids but you can call my house mate on this 678-999-XXXX to ask about me...

Ok...I've found out the phone number is a landline..but that doesn't prove anything..right? Also, we are in Alabama..and this "customer" is in GA. Why not just order LOCAL? And, what will asking the "house mate" questions prove?

Is there a way to determine a Cashiers Check is bogus? My friend of course doesn't want to miss out on a great order like this..but I'm questing the whole thing. And..another thing that seems funny (to me) is her email address has "Avon" in it! (xxxxxxramirezavon@yahoo.com).

What advice would you give my friend?
