Anyone want to do an ornament exchange this year?

I'm willing to organize it if anyone else is interested. I would hook each person up with a partner. You email your partner and get to know them, then send each other 2 ornaments. One that you think they would like according to their interests, and one of your choosing..usually one that represents you or where you are from.

I am going to meet my new neice today, but will be back later today to check to see who is interested and answer any questions.

Oh, I will take names probably for the next week or so, then we'll say the ornaments need to be sent by December 1st, if that sounds good to everyone else.

Hi Joann! We've done an ornament exchange several times over the last several years.

The way we've done it before is I get a list of all those who want to participate. Then I match everyone up with a partner who you will exchange your ornaments with. Typically, you come post a picture of your ornaments at the KT after you've received them. I know I have several ornaments on my tree each year that are from the ornament exchanges. I've always enjoyed it. HOpefully we can get more people to join in!

My Christmas Wish 2007 In recent years, my parents health (esp. my mother) has deteriorated. I recently moved 600 miles closer just to be with them. I fear this may be the last Christmas for one or both of them. They really LOVE Christmas cards! As I was rummaging through the attic to retrieve their Christmas decorations, I found Christmas cards they had received from 30 years ago. They throw NONE away. I was trying to think of something really special to do for them for Christmas and I came up with this idea. If you have the Christmas spirit, and want to do something nice for someone (who doesn't?) - please take the time to send my parent's a Christmas card. Christmas was always a magical time of year for our family and I truly want to make this magical for the both of them. Please! God Bless You and I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas. I'm sorry if I read this wrong but there's a link to the European and UK exchanges at the top of the forum page, it used to be quite active but it seems it's died a death. I've just been running a round robin across Europe and I know other gardening pages run them sometimes and have seed exchanges although this was the only really active one I knew. I missed the last seed swap that was on here, I hope Crazy Lady runs another one, they are excellent. Round Robins are fairly easy to organize, you just need to collect addresses work out a route, get some good seeds to start out with and a strong envelope, then you need to work out the rules. Once it's off then you only need to keep track of who has the envelope. Trouble is no one ever seems to want to start one it's always the old hands who seem to end up running them!
