The Eraser was the only thing that would get my white rubbery knobs clean on my stove too. I was afraid that it would take the black numbers off the glass panel, but it didn't.

I wish it wouldn't get so crumbly with each use though. I thought they would last longer than they do.

I love Magic Erasers, too, especially for cleaning painted walls.

I do use them to clean soap scum in the tub and shower; however, they don't work as well as Scrubbing Bubbles, which I used for years, but no longer. I just cannot stand the fumes any more, which seem to be worse than ever.

I will have to get me a magic eraser. Never heard of them before this forum. How did the party go, Susan?

Mr. Clean Magic erasers are available in every grocery store around where I live on Long Island NY. The 99 cent "junk" store sells knock-offs that seem to work just as well.

Magic Erasers are the only thing that worked on DS's scummy shower after his tenants moved out. I too, wish they would last longer. I find if I use them dry, they do just as good of a job, but they last a bit longer. Not long enough though. I always keep some on hand, because they are perfect for those tough jobs. I get them in the grocery or hardware store. You can find them anywhere- Wal-Mart or any of the other big box stores have them too, in the cleaning aisle.

This is a weird one...but magic eraser was the only thing that took black ink off a cream colored leather couch. I had tried hairpray, perfume, alchohol, leather cleaner..everything... Granted, not all leather is the same and it may really harm some...but if you've tried everything else without results, give it a try...just remember to condition the leather with some oil product so that it doesn't get too dried out/cracked. And, again, be careful it may not be safe for all kinds and could really damage some leathers.

I am amazed at the Magic Eraser...My son gave me one to clean up a big toy shelf I had got the grandsons at a garage sale, worked wonders...since then...
Youngest son got too close to the tractor fender with my white car...red smear down the front fender...POOF- gone with Magic Eraser...
Recently bought used red car, sporty little thing, with white paint on almost every angle of the finders, bumpers, etc...the girl who drove it must not have had good depth perception, or just plain careless. It took 5 of them to do the trick, but it ended up perfect! My husband thought I was crazy to take on that car looking like that...next thing I knew, he had his own pail of water and eraser...SIL works at a collision repair franchise, and they use them there too....

I stopped using them when I realized they were taking the blue paint off of my kitchen cabinets. I worked so hard to paint them, and the magic eraser was removing it. I use pine-sol now. Removes the most stubborn grease and dirt and leaves the house smelling so good. My husband hates the smell of the original Pine Sol, so I use the lavendar scented one instead.

I use mine time and time again....I wonder if I do something wrong?

Debby, indeed they will. They also took the shine right off out old kitchen counters, so one has to be careful with them. I used them to clean my cupboards and then used paste wax on them, they looked like new!

The first time I was blown away with the magic eraser was when I had some hair dye on my bathroom door (don't ask how that happened LOL) Anyway, I tried EVERYTHING and gave up. It had been on the door well over a year and the eraser removed it easily. I always have a couple in the house for when I need them. Love them....

Our fairly new house (5 yrs old) has the basic white walls
and white trim paint so you can easily see any smudges.
Magic eraser helps me keep everything looking good....

I wear motorcycle boots because they have a wider last, are comfy and are still made of leather instead of man made materials (vinyl). Recently got a new pair (super buy on eBay) that had those silly tips screwed on the toe with the manufacturers name. I took the tips off and found some glue on the area. Mr. Clean sponge took it right off without harming the leather.

If you have vinyl windows, they are amazing to clean the white vinyl around them.

I love magic erasers but as far as grease build up, my range hood had such a film on the inside of it for the longest time. It was too big of job for the magic eraser especially since it requires awkward reaching. I tried all sorts of sprays and nothing worked. Then I found out that Formula 409 cut right through it. I couldn't believe my solution was something that simple.

Magic Eraser has worked every where I've used it.

Now I see the ads for the Magic Eraser Stove Top Cleaner. Has anyone tried that?

That old woman that shows up here quite often has not done a good job cleaning the glass top on the stove. I'm wondering if it works as well as the original ME?

I love them they were a time saver and a big money saver when getting our last house ready to put on the market, saved having to paint in some instances. I was buying them at Sam's and Costco in the large economy packages. I always have some handy. Just last week a bug got in the house and my husband ended up smashing it all over the wall, ick! he got a Magic Eraser and it cleaned right up and left no marks on the paint.
