So... someone mentioned an electric roaster on the Turky thread

Someone mentioned on the 'Rachel Ray's Turkey Tip (share yours too!)' thread, that they used an electric roaster to cook turkey. I did a search on electric roasters and found the large ones seem to come mostly in two sizes... 18 quart and 22 quart. One site mentioned that the 18 quart roaster would hold up to an 18 pound turkey. They are fairly reasonable in cost (Amazon.com is one site that has them with free shipping and the 18 qt is just under $40).

So, the questions are:

How many of you have electric roasters?

If you have one, do you like it?

What brand and what size do you have?

Is the quart to pound of turkey ratio pretty accurate?

How often do you use them? Once or twice a year and they sit around collecting dust the rest of the year, or do you have other uses for them besides holiday turkeys?

What else do you cook in them?

Any other comments?
