From what I've read/heard on the net, it seems that Black Jungle ships MUCH better plants in the summer. I don't know why this would be, since all the greenhouses in my area have great plants in the winter as well as in the summer, all year in fact. I will certainly never order from them again though. They sent me one plant as a substitution, which I did NOT want, two of the plants have since died (and not because I'm bad with plants, because I'm not), and everything was quite small, making their prices outrageous. I don't know about their selection, as I've only been checking their website for about 2 years, but they do seem to have less than they used to. And certainly in the winter they have way less!

I leave cakes in the pan sometimes, and turn them out sometimes, mostly depending on how fussy I am about how they look. If I'm taking a cake somewhere I nearly always turn it out and then frost it on a cake board, because I don't have to worry about retrieving the pan to take it back home and I can just leave the leftovers there. I do agree, though, leaving a cake in the pan can make it a little "soggy" on the bottom. Funnily enough, that's the part that Ashley likes best, she'll scrape the sticky part off the bottom of the pan and eat that first. My "soggy" is her "moist and delicious", LOL. A cake like Brad's I'd probably leave right in the pan, then cut into squares and use it for strawberry shortcake, topped with fresh berries and whipped cream. The juice from the berries will make the cake moist anyway. No, no, I have a better idea! Slice the cake into squares, split the square, add a layer of strawberry cheesecake ice cream, then top with berries. Yeah... Annie

if the final destination of your plants is in a perennial bed or veggie garden, you can just leave the plants in the seed starting mix until you plant them out. For me in zone 6, I start my seeds early in the year under lights.... After they get a set of true leaves, I fertilize with highly diluted ratios. I do this for a wide variety of perennials and some veggies. The tomatoes I just planted out were 10ins tall coming from the 2-3 in coco pot cell.
