I almost did one time when I was going through a divorce. A friend and I found one in West Memphis, Arkansas. On the way to get it done I started thinking that maybe she was going to tell me that she could see me having a wreck on a bridge and getting killed. I knew I had to cross a bridge to get back home from Arkansas, so I chickened out and didn't go.

I went to one once......she told me I was going to die when I was 83. But she didn't say if it was at the beginning or the end of that age.
She was amazing.....she had her business across the street from a bank that was being built. When it opened they had a drawing from people who opened an account. She opened an account and told the teller she was going to win and that the prise was going to be a motor scooter. The teller didn't know what the prize was going to be. The woman won and it WAS a motor scooter. It was so funny to see her riding around town on it. (That was a long time ago.)

Was at a house party yrs ago in the 70's, & a gal there read our palms--she told me that my DH (not DEAR) was running around on me---Yepper, he was!! Of course, we live in a small town & she prolly knew about him---LOL

Donna (^_^)

I had my palm read and was told I'd have three children-a very small boy and two girls. I had a miscarriage (too small boy) and two girls. Both of them are fine. I don't remember anything else about the reading.

A co-worker read mine and said I would have a rich 3rd husband. Told my DH and he figured it out and said you find a rich, OLD man, we'll divorce, he'll die and we'll remarry and I'll be your rich 3rd husband. Didn't happen, still married to #1 for over 47 years and poor as a church mouse.

Okay this the truth. In my teens I met a card reader who took one look at me and adamantly refused to do a reading.

Years later I was with DH and we trekked to the local fortune teller while on vacation. We went up a narrow flight of stairs and rapped on the locked screen door. No one came out. When we went back later, same thing. Yes there was someone inside.

About 10 years ago I was with a girlfriend on vacation. There was a card reader there. This one was more of a touristy venue so I thought I'd try just for fun. I approached money in hand. He saw me, quickly got up, grabbed his cards and said sorry I'm closing. My GF who knew of the above incidents just laughed and shook her head.

So I haven't found anyone willing to read my fortune. Except for......

There was the old astrologer in the park but that's a really creepy story for another time.

Many times over the past 30 years. Only 3 hit me spot on..
the first said there were twins who were a big part of my life..said their first names even!
The 2nd told me she saw me in radio or television & it was my 'calling'. I was a cook at the time-well, 2 years later-I was asked to come & interview for the news director of the local am/fm station. Loved it! Did 12 news segments daily, some telemarketing, then they put me out on the road & I was very successful. Excelled in selling annual advertising contracts, then I'd write copy for their spots & go in & produce them in the studio;
The 3rd is actually a medium here in FL. Wouldn't look at me in the eyes so I couldn't feed her asnswers. She told me about meeting my SO-said he was the man who'd treat me like a queen & would be my soulmate. She even described his looks (blonde hair, pretty blue eyes)! Met him 4 months later..that was 5 yrs ago. We're still going strong.
Best of all she connected with my deceased mom & ex hubby and it was so great. Left the room feeling on top of the world. When Don passed I said something to him just before he passed & this medium stated what I said-ver batum & relayed to me that he said his 'dance card' had my name al over it! Blew me away, as nobody knew what I had said to him!his reply!! Plus she predicted the birth of my only DGD!!

A long time ago in high school. I was the only one of my 5 friends who did it. She said I would have 7 kids. I remember that part because I only had one.

My mom went to one when my brother and I were little. She told my mom she could see an accident with my brother and his bike. Since my brother was only 2 at the time so he obviously couldn't ride a bike, she just blew it off. The next week, my brother got up on my bunk bed and fell off onto a Fonzie motorcycle toy and broke his collar-bone.

Yes I have, by my daughter, who is very good at reading palms. She's the only one I trust.

Once had a co-worker read my palm. She told me I would out live 2 husbands. 1 down, 1 to go. Current DH is 8 years older and not in the best health so she will probably be right.

No way Wildchild, the time is NOW. I want to hear that story! :o)

No I've never had a reading. My friend and I played around with Tarot cards one night, I drew the death card and was attacked by a stranger the next night. I haven't gone near anything like that since. That was 21 years ago.

No I never did. Mom did and the lady told her she would die young. Mom was 76 this year.
The very best speech I gave in school was "how to read palms". No one looked at me because they were too busy looking at their hands. I aced that speech too.

When I did Renaissance Festivals, my shop was right next to Palm Readers. I never went.

No, I've never had mine read.

I delivered pizza a few times to a 'fortune teller'. Since one way they tell your future is by looking at your palm I suppose she qualifies.

I never had my palm read so I don't know about her ability to predict what should not be known to her. However, every time I took her food she said "How much is it?" (???)

BTW, she NEVER tipped and always b!tched about how long we took to get there. She was close by and her complaining was groundless.

I did one time when I was in my teens.
I became a born-again Christian when I was in my twenties. It was at that time I learned what an abominable sin involvement with the occult was to the Lord. I repented of my sin and asked His forgiveness.
Since then I don't play with anything dealing with the supernatural.

if anyone likes, I will post a scripture or two dealing specifically with wizards, mediums, etc.

Yes I did , went to this womens house where she did all the readings. She said she saw suitcases leaving and that a grey-headed woman was involved. My 1st husband was leaving to go stay with his mother. I went to her a few times and she said my husband was fooling around and that there would be a fire. The fire was at my brother-in-laws house just 2 days after.
Also went to the Renaissance Festival where a gyspy read my palm. What she said to me was that I should mentor teenage girls who where preg.. that this would be my calling, plus alot of other things that really touched me to the heart of my soul. I cried right then and there. Never had anyone shake me up so much since...Deb

I did, and she talked non stop about her daughter. What a waste of money. ($40.00)
It was fun, but not the least bit honorable.
This was an older women who has a wonderful reputation in a small town, and made a really good living off of this.
I was so disappointed.

Trin

Wildchild, do you look dangerous? ;-)

Never had my palm read, but I visited a local lady who uses Tarot cards. Much of what she told me was quite accurate, except for the granddaughter she said would be born in 2006. (Not even a pregnancy.) She smoked the whole time. Drove me nuts.

I've also consulted with a truly remarkable astrologer/numerologist. She doesn't call herself a psychic, but I do. I call her the Life Coach of Psychics. She's been helpful to me several times, and connected memorably with my daughter Jill. A wonderful experience.

I have never had my palm read but I used to read tarot cards. I was pretty good at it. I read alot of things in the cards that came true, both good and bad. I did a reading for my BGF that said she would inherit alot of money due to a death in her family. She lost her son, her mother and her Grandfather all within a few months. Her son drowned in an abandoned city pool and she won a law suit against the city. I havent touched the cards since.

A friend's aunt read mine once, long ago. She said mid-life would bring a distinct change to my life and my marriage would be over due to divorce or death. I couldn't imagine it at the time since I was married with 2 little girls and believed marriage was forever. Well, she was (thankfully) correct and many years later I met DH (Radiodokkter) and my last 15 years have been very happy.

Only once, when I was about 16, at some fair. She asked me if I was a vampire. Of course, I answered no. I don't remember much of the reading at all, other than that she kept coming back to the vampire thing, asking if I was sure I wasn't one.

I know that parts of this next bit are gross, but absolutely true:

Years later, as my tastes changed, I preferred my steaks more and more rare, and during my pregnancies, while preparing meals I'd sneak little bits of raw beef and eat them. After removing the beef from the styrofoam package, I even took to pouring the blood that remained into a small saucepan, adding a little salt, warming it and drinking it. I had to heat it very slowly or it would curdle. And although everything I know tells me that it isn't wise, I prefer my pork and chicken just a tad underdone as well.

Some people tell me that the fortune teller may have been right after all, LOL.

I never have, but I always wanted to.
There was a lady that lived in our small town that everyone said could tell fortunes, but at that time (30 years ago) that kind of stuff was frowned upon so she only done it on the sly, which made her even more mysterious. We would walk by her house hoping to see something going on, I don't know what, black cats and blood sacrifices or something. Never saw anything and never got up the nerve to go to her door. LOL
