Neil Patrick Harris and longtime partner David Burtka's twins from a surrogate mother were born Tuesday, Oct. 12, NPH reported via Twitter.

"Babies!!" Harris, 37, wrote. The twins are named Gideon Scott and Harper Grace. "All of us are happy, healthy, tired, and a little pukey."

Harris tweeted in August that he and Burtka, his 35-year-old man of six years, would have children: "So, get this: David and I are expecting twins this fall. We're super excited/nervous/thrilled. Hoping the press can respect our privacy..." he tweeted.

That is nice. I was wondering when the babies would be born earlier. I love the quote! "All of us are happy, healthy, tired, and a little pukey."
How many of us know that feeling? LOL

Best Wishes to the Dads and the babies. Blessings to the birth Mom for doing such a kind act for a loving couple.

He seems like a delightful fellow. I have never watched his shows, but I loved his hosting of the Emmy Awards. I bet he will make a great dad.

Hey, no sweat, that happens to all of us from time to time. :) I'd never be able to remember all of mine if I didn't take along a notebook and pen while making my photos. After I take a photo, I jot down the name so I have a list of what I took each day. I put the date at the top of the page for reference if I need to go back and check a certain day. Anyway, which ever one she is, she's a beauty, as are the rest of yours. Thanks for posting them. Jan

Karen Thanks for saving me money! - I can decorate vicariously thru you with your finds. LOL... My hats off to your DGS and others for the job they are doing and I'll bet your temps don't seem as bad to him in comparison now. A friend's son recently left for Afghanistan and I awaite his safe return also. You have two cute kitty's, I love the name Oreo - and from the size...looks like the double-stuffed! Think of the cats as your ying and yang, one helps you and the other doesn't let you get too carried away. I have Miss Kitty, she helps me decorate too, by clearing all surfaces of anything that will move - one paw swipe and it's on the floor. Miss Kitty wanting attention, scared the @%#&* first time she did this when I looked up. Jim

They say it was raining so hard it created some kind of insulation for us. It was the worst lightening storm I'd ever seen and pouring incredibly hard. Honestly, we felt nothing! Just heard the huge BOOM and then noticed that the car was dead and all the lights on the dash were flashing. Pulled over to the side before we lost momentum and hoped no one behind us would hit us, it was raining so hard. Silly drivers didn't even slow down, not even when tow truck driver arrived!

I'm happy for them, but this bothers me: They tweet that they are having children, then ask for privacy? Seems to me they should just get off Twitter and have their press rep issue a statement and then live their lives. But I have a feeling we'll be hearing about further tweets and press releases from them. (Which is OK by me--I love seeing baby pictures! But all I'm saying is you can't have it both ways and be taken seriously for taking your stand, KWIM?)

How very cool! I like their names.....although Gideon will always remind me of Gideon Bibles in motel rooms. :-)

I was also happy to hear about the Travolta pregnancy.

I've only heard good things about these guys, and I feel sure they will be devoted to their twins.

As for the Travoltas, I am very happy for them too and hope their new baby brings them much joy.

I love Neil Patrick Harris! His character on "How I met your Mother" is hysterical, but hopefully unlike him!

So, do you suppose Gideon and Harper are boys, girls, one of each?? These days the names could go either way. I think they are really cute, although it reminds me of Harper Lee (To Kill A Mockingbird).

The Travolta's call Ocala their home. The actually live in the little community of Anthony in a huge home with two attached-to-the-house parking spaces for the jets. They are very kind and raise all kinds of money for our community. I think (hope) people around here let them live in peace and privacy. I'd feel a lot easier if she wasn't 48. Just a worrywart here, but they went through too much losing their son.

Doogie is a daddy!!

He'll always be 'Doogie Houser' to me.

Having a baby at 48 makes me nervous. So many risks.
(keeping my fingers crossed for them)
