What are you streaming on Netflix?

Since I went years without watching any TV at all, many series are new to me. Netflix recently acquired lots of new shows and episodes, and my Instant Queue is getting rather full. So many intriguing titles!

My current favorite is In Plain Sight. I love this show, and wish Netflix had more than 40 episodes. I watched #30 the other night.

A GardenWeb friend got me watching Eureka, and I in turn got my granddaughter watching it. We both think it's fun.

I was hooked on Damages for a while, but have been taking a break. It's a good show, but rather intense.

My DS and DIL got me watching Bones.

I have a zillion Law and Order episodes to catch up on. Right now my favorite is Criminal Intent.

Frasier makes me laugh, always.

Oldgardener, I loved Flash Forward! Unfair that they canceled it when they did.....

Today I visited my granddaughter and watched the last episode of "Lost" with her. This is the only episode I've seen, and I was surprised to find four actors from Flash Forward in it.

We've watched two of the four segments of Midsomer Murders, Set 22. (On a DVD from our library.) We must be getting close to having seen 100 of these mysteries. We have one more segment of The Paradise to watch. (Recorded on DVR from PBS.) I hear there is to be another season of this adaptation of an Emile Zola story.

Mindhunters...I thought this show was really good and wondering how many people were able to pick up what they were hinting at for next season. At the beginning of every episode they would do a quick shot of some scene from our local serial killer, BTK. It gave me the creeps on the first scene, but after that I was prepared.

I hadn’t heard about the Vermeer film- sounds fascinating and I will watch that for sure! “Summer of Soul” is on my short list already; David Copperfield, too. A few more series come to mind that I recommend: two medical documentary series that I thought were excellent, “Lenox Hill” and “The Surgeon’s Cut” are on Netflix. For those that like that sort of thing, that is the sort of thing they like, and I definitely DO! Another Netflix documentary series I recently enjoyed “This is a Robbery”, about the 1990 art heist at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. I also enjoyed the Linda Ronstadt documentary mentioned above. And, not new, but certainly not-to-be-missed, “Hamilton“ on Disney.

I have enjoyed the following..

My favorite is "Veronica Mars" (love,love, love this show)
I also liked "Intelligence" (a Canadian crime drama)
"Dead like Me" is unique
and although it's lighter... I enjoyed "Kyle XY"

carla35, I'm watching the pilot for Intelligence right now, looks pretty good so far. I was surprised to see Matt Frewer in it, I was just wondering about him the other day.

I was disappointed that Flash Forward was canceled too, Alisande, it was a good show.

A great Australian series, on for 9 years, is called McLeod's Daughters. Two half sisters inherit a ranch and the series is based on their experiences with it, the other women who help them run the ranch, and the friends and men who are in their lives. It's very well done AND the actresses/actors are "normal" people (no plastic surgery or fake body parts!). I highly recommend it, and it's a series you could watch with your granddaughter.

We are watching Doctor Who now.
In all my years, I'd never seen it before, and thought Who was his name....LoL Now I know it's "Doctor Who?"
And what they say is true..your first Doctor is your favorite. I love to shout.."running!" cuz every episode, they have to RUN somewhere

We also watched Firefly. OhMyGosh...I cried at the end and then felt kind of silly...I kinda got caught up in it! I wish it hadn't been canceled, I could have watched it forever.
We also watch movies..last night it was "Return of the Living Dead" Hahaha...so campy!

I just put McLeod's Daughters on my Instant Queue. I'd never heard of it--thanks for the tip, Jmc! Now if I can understand the Australian accents...... ;-) Growing up in NYC, I used to be good at understanding everybody's accents, but apparently I'm not as skilled as I once was.

I found that Veronica Mars is available only on DVD. But if it ever streams, I'll check it out. Also plan to take a look at Doctor Who. I thought that was his name, too. LOL

Jodi, I watched the first two episodes of Mad Men last year, and liked it a lot. I bought the first three seasons for my daughter as a Christmas gift, but then Netflix started streaming them. I told her I'd try to sell the unopened box sets.

Doc Martin, a British series is excellent!
Also, Star Trek the Next Generation has recently been added, but you don't strike me as the trekkie type. ;-)

I'm glad to get some recommendations here. My list is getting a little thin.

By the way, wasn't Doc Martin coming back to TV this fall with new episodes? What happened?
