I have also found that they do not stay the color in my garden as when I purchase them and I use garden lime on the pinks and the blueing on the blue one's. When I plant them is the only time I see them for what I purchased them for. I haul water from the creek or use rain water to water them. I don't use tap water for my hydrangea's

I left it in a pot during our winter as an experiment, and unlike my potted Frederic Mistral, BD keeled over, dead as a doornail. So far FM has weathered 2 of our winters unscathed and green to the tips. Hehe, wow, your Ghislainde is very impressive. I think you should make it into a "tree rose" anyway, lol! My friend Jay-Jay from the Netherlands has this absolutely GORGEOUS Ghislainde de Feligonde Standard. It is STUNNNING! Ummmm, Tammy, that bee is not something to be happy about, unfortunately. That is the danged carpenter bee which will drill through wood. But I tolerate their presence so long as they don't chase away my honeybees. Some carpenter bees can get pretty territorial toward honeybees. Rose gardeners are constantly getting their carpenter bees mixed up with a true bumblebee. Anytime you see a striped fuzzy upper body, but a shiny black back, that is a carpenter bee.

I liked the house "before" too, but I love the "after." I agree it looks like a more expensive property with the gray! The before felt cozy & charming, while the after feels understated, elegant & sophisticated. Beautiful job! Funny Bichonlover, that you mention you wanted your house to stand out more (which I'm sure it does & in a very good way!) because your house is a #One house (your house numbers 3+3+3+1=10 1+0=1). One houses are standout houses. They capture the attention of others. This house inspires drive & independence. I remember reading to keep furniture to a minimum & decorate w/clear colors & white. Keep windows clean & clear (my first house was a One house, so I looked into this!). Owners of One houses are also often considered "different" or standouts in some way by their neighbors. A person who has not been well will improve from living in a One house. The vibration of One energy is powerful.
