Hi everyone!!!!

Finally got the internet! Have SO much to tell you. But first....I miss you guys and I hope things are going well for you.

Well....lets start with moving day! Dh and BIL came over at 9:00 and we were packed up by 10:30. It took us 2 hours to get to my new place. It's a complex and there are a lot of different people living here. DH is really worried about my safety. But I am on the 3rd floor and a lot safer then being in the basement apartment. It took 2 hours to move all my stuff in and by that time I was exhausted. I was doing ok but the minute they were ready to leave I got all emotional and started crying. DH knew what I was feeling and gave me a hug. Told me I was going to be ok and not to worry...that we would always be there for each other. He also told me that he wants me to text him every night when I get home so he knows I am safe...which I have been doing. So I spent 2 days unpacking and getting things in order.

Spoke with my landlord and I gave him a list of minor things that needed fixing which he took care of right away. We are supposed to get new windows this month too. In the past week I have discovered a few other things. My fridge is still leaking water (he is getting me a new one), have several outlets that were painted over that I can't use and my toilet needs a new flapper.

That Friday I had an all day orientation at work so I was tired when I got home. Just lots of talking and paperwork mostly.

Saturday my sweetie came over and we....ummmm....well you know..... :)

Sunday I went out exploring the neighborhood and found everything I need is within a 2 mile radius of my place. Only thing I have to find is a place to get my haircut which I will be doing this weekend.

My first week at work was crazy. First day I got there and no one was in the office. I spent 3 hours just looking through files trying to figure out what they were. I like the people and my bosses are great. Boss told me today that there is no stress with his department and not to worry....I will catch on. It is SO different than working at a college. The casino is open 365 days so if a holiday falls during the week I have to work it. Unless I take a vacation day. That means I will be working Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years,. etc. Not that it matters...won't be doing anything on those days anyway. But I am slowly catching on. There is so much to learn.

My new job has a lot of great perks though. If I go 90 days without being late or calling in sick they award you $100. Perfect attendance bonus!! In the cafeteria I can eat at the buffet (all you can eat in one serving) for $1. Plus they have free breakfast stuff, coffee, juice, pop etc. Of course I go for my bagel and coffee every morning!

One nice thing about my new place is that landlord said I can paint the walls if I want. Hate all the white here. So far I painted my bathroom vanity yellow to match the d�cor. It looks so much better now. Haven't decided what colors I want in the bedroom, living room and kitchen. Only going to paint part of the kitchen.....i'm not moving the fridge or stove to paint behind them.

So things are working out ok so far. I will be happier once I learn everything and not have to ask a million questions.
