I was lmao at the girls "we now know how to read the clues". Yeah, right! I'm surprised they weren't eliminated and sorry about the team that was.

The emotional/pouty "I got a boo-boo on my head" guy? He would make me insane, I don't know how his GF stands him. And the married couple/on the rocks- man, a little of her goes a long way so far.

I like the way the brother/sister communicate, very politely and rationally, and the mom/son, they're great together too.

I thought the roadblock was LAME. Clue was vague, seemed sort of hit and miss to me, I'm surprised anyone got it. lol Loved the moving of the sailboats and the container challenge, that was pretty cool. I would have been torn, stay on the beach, yay, or get some computer time, tempting! lololol

It was a good show, we liked it. Well, turns out I like it more than Woody does, but he did the dishes while I watched, so that works for me, too. lol

YES! Flamie...those 'girls' were both dumb AND lucky last night. They messed up on the instructions not once but TWICE!

I agree that the roadblock was way lame. It was the computer guy that figured out how to get it done. That was the only reason that the football player and his 'I got them to add a bigger plane' wife won that leg of the race.

We would have done the computer/container challenge also. And..we would have been good at it, too. After all, we watched The Wire so we know all about 'cans in the stacks'.

'Boo-boo guy' reminds me of 'Devil Boy' from a few seasons back. Remember him?

I think it will an interesting race. I like the brother and sister team but I think my fav is the team of the two computer guys. It will be a fun season.

I think that must have been before I started watching this show. Dumb me resisted it for the first several seasons. First year I watched was the one where Uchenna and Joyce won.

I like the computer guys, too. I just wish they were in better physical condition. That would help, you know it's going to get harder and harder. I was lmao when that one team came to the mat and said "this was the worst day EVER!" It was, um, what? Day 2? lololol

anyone here for climbing down that rope? about had to close my eyes on that one!

Flamey...Devil Boy was about 4 or 5 seasons back. His partner was Rebecca who played the game very well, could do anything, was very fit and ended up being one of the trainers on that Bravo show about Sky Gym in LA. He had very short hair but his bangs were long enough to be put into two little 'pony tails', right at his hair line that looked just like two little 'horns'. He was a little wimp that cried for his mommy more than once during the show.

Uchenna and Joyce...that was a good race. She allowed her head to be shaved! I liked both of them very much and I was so happy when they won. Was that the race with Amba & whats his name? So many good seasons and so many good teams.

Yes, Rob & Amber were on TAR the same season when Joyce & Uchenna won it. Rob & Amber rightfully should have won. They were seated on the airplane for the final flight back to the USA, and the door was shut and latched. The plane was being pushed back, away from the terminal. It was a US carrier (American Airlines, to be exact), and United States airline rules include that when the door is latched, it is NOT to be opened again until it lands at its destination. Joyce & Uchenna were whimpering in the airport because the next possible flight would have put them a couple of hours behind Rob and Amber. And, I guess the producers felt it wouldn't be all that exciting if there wasn't a battle to the finish line. So, Joyce and Uchenna were allowed on the flight.

Say what you will about Rob and Amber, but they really played the game well. They didn't fight and bicker, and Rob was/is a lot smarter than folks give him credit for. An example -- one of the tasks was to take several (six?) hundred books from a store to a library. One small handcart was all they could use, and they had to walk the books clear across the town they were in. Rob was smart -- he methodically stacked the books so that all of them fit on the cart in one trip. ALL of the other teams had to make at least two trips to get all of the books to the destination.

Joyce & Uchenna's reason for going on the show was that their marriage was on the rocks; they had pretty much determined to split up, but decided that they should have a baby to try to save their marriage. (In my opinion, that's the WORST reason to have a baby....) They wanted to win the money so they could go afford to go through a round of in vitro. What they didn't say, but what had been published during the show, was that their fertility doctor had already offered to give them an in vitro attempt at no charge.

For those who watched that season, you may remember how Joyce and Uchenna were stripped of all their money at the previous pit stop because they'd come in last and it was a nonelimination leg. So, when they took the taxi ride to the final, winning, pit stop, they didn't have the money to pay the cab driver. They had to beg the locals for money. When questioned about it after the show, Uchenna claimed "it was a matter of honor" to pay the cabbie. Nuh-uh. It's a show RULE that teams cannot break any local law, and stiffing a cab driver would be doing just that. Only if the cabbie agreed to let them go without paying, or agreed to lower the fare, could they get away without paying the full fare. And the cab driver wanted to be paid. In full.

Anyway, they won the million bucks, went through a failed in vitro, and split up. They got back together again to go on the show a second time when they did an all-star version. And they again said they wanted to win the money to pay for more in vitro, or to adopt a child, to try to save their marriage.
