Yes, you can definitely put pre-emergent down now and it will not hurt the fall fescue seeding. However, do consider that you have to put pre-emergent down BEFORE weed seeds like POA germinate. Unfortunately I found this statement on a Perdue.edu website about golf course maintenance dated in September: Poa annua germination peaks in September and October, but will continue to germinate throughout a warm winter and well into spring. Open turf from late aerification will encourage Poa annua germination. Additionally, bringing soil cores to the surface will also bring viable Poa seeds to the surface further encouraging germination. The best method to help limit Poa encroachment at this time of the year is with preemergence herbicides. A number of products are labeled for Poa annua control and applications around Labor Day are most effective. However, if no preemergence herbicide was applied yet and aerification is still scheduled for this year, itÂs not too late to apply. A benefit of applying preemergence now is that it will continue to limit Poa germination throughout the winter and spring and will prevent summer annuals like crabgrass from germinating early next summer. So it sounds like POA is germinating about the same time you want your fescue to germinate. Putting down pre-emergent now may not help you. For the electricity it seems you are buying the electricity from another provider. There is delivery charge from National grid for $61.49, and a service charge of $75.71 from another supplier. The average cost for 701 kWh is $0.196 per kWh. That is is expensive. You probably would get a better rate if you bought your electricity from National Grid. National grid also offers other types of billing. You should call them and ask about all the available options. The gas chart is showing a price of $0.22 per therm. That is very low so I suspect that is only the delivery charge. Are there more details on your bill showing the service charge?

I purchased a Forno stove in October 2021. June of 2022 the serious issues began and have continued. Approximately two months after the warranty expired the oven would not ignite (Thanksgiving Day, 2023). Eventually I received a reply from customer service with too much in bold print telling me that my unit was out of warranty, parts would be supplied per their technician according to my report of problems with stove which were, igniters would not stay off while burners were on, oven would not stay lit, wires were frayed going to igniters. There was duct tape behind the knob holding part of the cover behind knobs together. That is a fire hazard for sure. I received a box of parts free of charge with igniters, new wiring, but no burner for oven. Repairman stated the whole stove was in the box except the burners, doors and walls. Today is March 1 and the igniters installed February 22 have already gone out, so much for free parts supplied by Forno. I have begged for a new stove. I was offered a new unit half price with a one-year warranty which would begin when payment was made, not delivery. Delivery could take weeks. Their company may not be a sham, but their website does not tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Customer service with this company is sub-par.
