I think the pair of blue jeans idea is clever! It would be comfortable, too. If you want to get out of it, tell him you'll only do it if you both have your faces painted blue and wear blue wigs.

Hubby and I once went as a pair of dice, a priest and nun, and of course there are tons of couples....Sonny and Cher, Snooky and the Situation.....

DD and her DH went as a gorilla/ape and a banana last year. She was the banana.

I hate coing up with costume ideas but one of my favorites was at the golf course. Two of the ladies dressed up in Venetian costumes, wore dark sunglasses and went as Venetian blinds.

This DH and I a couple years ago as a Vampire couple.

I meant to add that one year we went as "The Professor & Mary Anne" from Gilligan's Island. That was fun and easy to do!

DH and I went as a "Chick Magnet" and a "Cereal Killer" one year. He's not into the costume thing, so I had to keep it simple. I bought construction paper and cut out chick shapes, and glued little feathers to them, then taped them all over his shirt front and back. Slicked his hair back and talked him into wearing a big 70's looking gold chain. That's all he was willing to do.

I took big hoop earrings and a long thin necklace and strung them with froot loops cereal. Then got the little individual boxes of cereal, cut them open, glued a plastic knife into the center and taped them all over my shirt. Bought a tube of "white" blood and splattered it on my shirt around the boxes, and drizzled some down the corner of my mouth. It was really easy and we had so much fun.

One year we both went as accident victims. I put acrylic paint on the tread of the car tire and ran over some old clothes to leave marks. We ripped holes the clothes. I had my arm wrapped in gauze like a cast and hubby used a neck brace. Blackened eyes and made bruises with make-up. Perfect for me since I was in a wheelchair. DH used my cane. Cost us nothing.

On my budget I just wear my everyday wardrobe and ppl think I am dressed as a homeless person...LOL

One year someone at the KT went as peace (tyed die shirt hippie and quite (was a mime). I thought it was so clever I never forgot it.

If you watch Saturday Night Live they had a Digital Short a few months back called 'The Creep'. Google youtube the creep and you'll see it if you aren't familiar. DD#2 is using that.
