Great picture. Thank you for posting it. Wish we had a lake near us to see the wildlife--not talking about the flooding and standing water still around Minot and other areas.

Gorgeous!

I wish I'd taken a photo yesterday afternoon. We had bright sunlight lighting the remaining yellow leaves on our 100-year American Elm, but just to the north the sky was almost black with storm clouds. Stunning! (Soon enough the sun was gone and we had hail!) Our six pears have one or two red leaves -- otherwise still perfectly green. The serviceberry is orange. Burning bushes are all red. True to form, the enormous sycamore has only begun to shed its' enormous leaves.

Thanks, everyone. I walked out in shirtsleeves, though it was in the 40's.

Where in MN do you live? My sister lives in Minneapolis but she and her husband just bought a condo here in Phoenix for winters. Her husband grew up in Minne but we were raised in St. Louis and we both moved to Phoenix for jobs (a few years apart) until she met and married, then she moved to Minne with him. The only time we have been there was a few years ago for New Year's eve, the high got up to -2 degrees!!! She can work from home and likes to take walks, she comments on how beautiful they are, but I have never seen a pic! Thanks for posting!
