I have the shark navigator lift away pro and it's the best vacuum I have ever used, I've had it for a few years now and it's as good as the day I bought it. My cleaning lady loved it so much she went and bought one so no matter where she is she has a great vacuum to use.
Shark makes great vacuums especially for the cost.
I don't need the little one you showed but it would be great for a small place or for a student.

I just purchased a Shark Rotator Professional. I love that it is so lightweight (less than 16 pounds). It really picks up the dirt and pet hair.

I'm smiling at Raven's post because I love my Navigator Pro too, and recommended it to a friend . . . whose cleaning lady liked it so much she bought one for herself.

Without reading many of the reviews, they appear to be very favorable.

With that said, I would shop first by price [Amazon, QVC, Lowes, etc.], and perhaps second, a place close to home
in case you want to - or need to - return it.

Are you looking at the Shark Rocket HV302? Consumer Reports gives that model a good rating.

I also like to read the reviews on Amazon and BB&Beyond to see what others have written.

Yes, I have it and the Shark Lift Away, they are both good, got them at Bed Bath & Beyond.

with the bed bath and beyond 20% off coupon it is a good buy.
You can get a coupon from their website just follow the instructions.

I was at bbb yesterday and of course forgot my coupon at home. They told me just to come back with the coupon and my receipt and they would honor it and give me the 20% off the highest priced item. Which is what I will do since I had two high priced items. A new latex pillow for me $49 and so worth it and a set of dog stairs for my little one to be able to get up on the new much higher mattress those were the same price. However the stairs have to be returned because they were broken.
So if you forget your coupon there is still a way to utilize it.

I have it and it works great for the way I use it.The first setting is for solid floors and the second setting is for carpet. I practically runs away like a self propelled vacuum. If I'm going to do some serious vacuuming I'll use my Dyson purple BUT for everyday cleaning on my tile and hardwood floors I like the rocket for the ease and convenience. I have given one to my son and daughter in college. They still don't vacuum often but at least its going to be easy. One extra thing I like about the rocket is how it hangs on my laundry room wall, out of the way but ready to go. The canister doesn't hold alot, and sometimes on the farm, I vacuum often but its easy to dump out.

I just watched the video, and it was impressive! I might consider getting one for the quick clean-ups. Based on ravencajun's recommendation, I bought a Shark Navigator Lift-Away several years ago. I loved it so much that I later bought a Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away 3-in-1 vacuum, and then a Shark Rotator Pro Complete Lift-Away. [Three-level house needs three vacuums!] I am a Shark fan!!

I just bought one today. It was on sale at lowes then another 5% off with their credit card.
I used it everywhere and tried out 1 attachment. It goes under almost everything, easy to use, the cup does fill up quick then then that's a good thing, you know its picking up. The cord is almost long enough not to have to keep plugging & plugging. It's self propelled it really goes! So far I like it. lt doesn't have a headlight though :^(
I got the HV301 model, the orange one.

My other vac is a Dyson which is great but it doesn't get under anything, or have a rotating head, a shorter cord, and very difficult to do upholstery since it has the hard wand and long flex hose to deal with and you have to pull the whole vac around with you. Heavy too. not great to do the car with either.

Well, you all talked me into purchasing one from QVC last night....minutes before the Special Value of the day was over. I don't do much cleaning, but the ultra light one sounded just right for the Motor Home, where it is really hard to get DH to do the "promised" task when we are traveling, and I can not handle the small one we have there. When we are home, parked beside the house, we can not open the driver side slide out and so it gets put off trip after trip after trip. Got the shampoo thingy too and hope they both work out where they are so needed. We have tried having the carpet cleaned while 'on the road'.... not successful at all, as it is such a small living space and living with wet carpet was awful!
