L: 1 cup cottage cheese mixed with finely diced tomatoes, green onions, cilantro, and spicy spices S: 10 pretzels D: Taco salad: 1/3 c refried beans, 1/8 c. shredded cheese, lot of shredded lettuce, tomato, ¼ c cottage cheese, salsa, 120 cal worth of baked chips on top. S: Arg. Lays Baked BBQ chips, 2 handfuls, and a ½ c of fritos. I hate having chips in the househate it! Salty snacks call to me. If I'm not on tomorrow, it'll be because I have no power! Short story: Yesterday, my DD in college called me. She says, "Mom, I have a problem..." Well, I am thinking the worst, but then she tells me that she's babysitting a friend's offspring and that the baby has been crying for 40 minutes. I can hear the baby on her shoulder crying its heart out. 10 minutes later, we finally got the baby quiet--air in tummy or overstimulated; I'm not sure. Dimly lit room and some pats on the back, pressure on the tummy, etc---but talking my DD through that baby's crying spell gave me the strangest feeling. Now I know how my mom felt when I called her with my colicy babies! It's tough not to BE there to help! Is Raeanne on her wine tour in CA already? And where's Maddie? Patti? Tikanas? JOHN???????? Yes, I am staying warm, very chilly out though, 7 degrees right now. Just me for supper so I had a half bologna sandwich, carrot salad, and a piece of yellow cake I baked today. Sue

Shirley, it sounds like you ate at Sue's house! LOL! Gayle, I wish we had a take-out restaurant nearby that had that. I'd probably eat in/out a lot! I needed a reminder about steaks. I bought a bunch when they were on sale a while back. Still to hot for chicken and dumplings but it sure sounds good. Ah, well. It'll be cold enough pretty soon. I would like to go with Lil, especially if she took Boston cream pie. I straightened out our freezer today and made a vow not to buy any more meat until I've used up a lot of what I already have. I could probably start a mini-meat market :0

Hmmm well, I'm in a dilemma. For my holiday plans, I'd like to join YOU and Marilyn_Sue! I obviously have to make a decision and I don't know where to go. (Besides the obvious, that is). I've got a well-done roast in the oven with carrots and onions around it. Mashed potatoes as a side. Hubs LOVES well-done roasts. He doesn't it pink/red. So.....well-done it is. I made bread using Brigette today for the first time. I might have made a couple of human errors, bur she's very forgiving. We'll break into that loaf tonite as well.
