No, but I never watched her show over the years either. I have noticed in the channel guide how many of the programs on the new OWN channel are repeats or sometimes very different than what I imagine would be on there.

I see on the guide she has her "life class" shows. Really? I don't think I want her telling my how to live my life. Seems a little ostentatious that she tells us all how to live.

I don't watch TV anymore, just DVD movies and DVD series. I canceled my expanded TV service and land line and am going to cancel basic cable after I verify what my neighbor told me. She bought a $10 digital antenna and gets more channels than I get for $25. a month. I get sick of paying for things I don't use. I will be saving over $100 a month and don't miss any part of it.

Enough of Oprah! She had a long run, she said goodbye. Now she's already back. Didn't watch her before, don't now. Leave, please. TV can survive without you, really, we'll all be okay...

I like some of the programs and some of the movies, but there sure are a lot of repeats.

They need more fresh material to keep viewers.

Nope--though I gave it a shot. I watched a few of the Peter Walsh shows (the cleaning out and organizing show), but then all of a sudden they moved or something, cuz my Tivo recorded something else in that time slot.

Watched Gail's show a few times when she was getting her "sea legs" but it didn't thrill me after a while.

Watched a few evenings of Rosie O'Donnell's new show -- too slow, too boring and I really don't want to invest my time in the dopey games she does with her guests and audience members.

There's really nothing on the OWN channel that grabs me. There's better television elsewhere.

I am so surprised by your answers. I don't watch it either because I don't like Dr. Phil and he is on everytime I pass by. Don't think much about OWN as you said there are nothing but repeats. Honestly don't know what I would want her to put on. She has the Oxygen channel. What was that like?

I have tuned into the new Rosie ODonnell show twice now. I was not impressed. I used to like her show. I guess I have outgrown her. I actually have considered going to the trouble to block her channel. I just don't need to have to scroll through it. I guess I keep hoping I will find a movie to watch.

My husband and I decided to get rid of cable/satellite all together and just put that money into our DVD collection and that's what we watch. We were spending $65 a month for NOTHING! Only watch the local news on regular tv. There are just too many tv commercials these days and nothing of interest to watch anymore. I will most likely never tune to OWN.

NBC/Universal bought the Oxygen channel a while back - Oprah has nothing to do with that anymore.

I've only watched Oprah's afternoon show a couple of times through the years. Thought when I retired, I'd watch those afternoon talk shows a lot, but never happened...after 15 years, just never got into "the groove". Doubt I'll start now.

Speaking of cancelling tv cable, I got my cable bill yesterday & saw my 6 month "introductory" expanded basic rate had jumped from something like $45 a month to closer to $90 a month, I immediately got on the phone & went back to "basic", which covers local channels & runs around $23 monthly. The only reason we even got the expanded service in the first place was to pick up Turner Classic Movies, which we greatly enjoyed, but I think we've managed to see most of the old movies we wanted to see. At this point we're seriously investigating tv roof antennas to save even further.

Was trying to watch a marathon of Undercover Boss on OWN one day. 10 minutes of the show and another 10 minutes of commercials pushing both Rosie and Oprah's new shows. No thank you. Deleted it from my Favorites list.

I haven't really watched it much but did today, the Life Class. Cybil Sheppard, Ali McGraw and Jamie Lee Curtis on aging. It was very honest and most interesting.

Rosie was next but way too noisy. No thanks.

I agree to many commercials. I counted 8 during one break, enough already.

I think Oprah in general an admirable person. She has done a lot of good in the world. That being said, I think that somewhere along the line she has drunk her own Koolaid. How does she presume to think that everyone should live and think the way she does. I think she missed her calling, she should've been a shrink.

I've always liked Oprah as well.Now her channel,is not what i thought it would be.All summer Dr Phil was on everyday,and mostly all day and night.Then she played a few movies,color purple,When harry met sally,and a couple of others and they all became re-runs as well.Now she is starting to get more shows,and the only one i can say i like right now is the All Star show on sunday night with Suze orman,Dr.Phil and Dr Oz.

I liked the medical shows and the true mysteries that were on that channel before she took it over.

I mostly now watch the investigative channel with all the true stories of missing people,real life crimes and murders.

Oprah has given away a lot of money and done many things for others. I will remember setting my VCR for 4 pm as long as I live.

She started out like Jerry Springer with lesbian nuns on (really.) The kind of stuff that is none of our business and I don't believe nuns would come forward and wish they wouldn't. But it got attention which she needed to compete with Phil Donahue. Then she had a revelation and cleaned up her act.

She is a wonderful actress. A natural in great movies that tell real stories.

Rosie is not a nice person in my opinion though she had that reputation for a while when she had her own show. Queen of nice. We all have seen her other side and I remember when she left The View she had a blog online and she looked skaggy and ranted everyday to people who agreed with her. Maybe she was off her medication but I doubt I will ever watch her again. She has never revealed why she acted so badly and I don't care.

Oprah has a lot of thinking to do.

I don't know what shows she could do that would appeal to me. I guess I have seen it all at this age. And with 8 commercials at a time (I thought that was illegal) then I fold.

With all of the repeats and commercials it sounds like she is stalling and building money to finance her show in the future.

Everybody is replaceable and I will probably let her go and watch the history shows as those are teaching me something.
