MOE's bbq cause my grandson says they have the best smoked wings. And I agree! Had a side of wings and that was filling enough.

Arthur Treacher's Fish recipe with french fries tonight. Love that fish with Malt Vinegar and BrattKatt's Tartar Sauce!

Hi! I feel like I'm ready to come back to the dinner thread. I sure appreciate all of your help while I was out. Dinner tonight was the usual--Boost and a cup of Lipton chicken noodle soup.

All from our garden, soup with acorn and butternut squash, carrots, onions and garlic. A bit of sour cream on top and it's ready to enjoy on a 55ð windy day.

Beautiful sunny day here in Northern CA, so we are grilling steaks. Caesar Salad and sourdough baguette as sides. I made some peanut butter, chocolate chips cookies for dessert. I sure hope my Weight Watcher leader doesn't read this lol

Glenda: BBQ wings only? They must really be filling. I want to thank you for coordinating the dinner thread while Patti was gone. You did a good job.

Hi, Patti. So good to hear from you. Thanks to all the ladies for keeping this thread going. It was a constant connection to Patti.

I haven't a clue what's for dinner tonight. I'm just taking a 15 minute break from the attic. Thought I'd have a Pepsi with caffeine to keep me going for a couple more hours. Also eating a breakfast bar (home made and full of good proteins.)

Last night at the Octoberfest we had Brats, both white and regular, smoked pork, sauerkraut with rye seeds and sauerkraut without, German potato salad, pretzel rolls (yum) and carrots. For dessert, chocolate cake and carrot cake. Everything was delicious. Even better because I didn't have to cook.

Patti what great news, how is your health? I sure hope you get your taste buds back soon.

I am still here in Oklahoma cooking for the family, while mother in law is in the hospital, still hanging in there thank God.
it was cold last night and this morning, nice now.
I am cooking a huge pot of gumbo with chicken, smoked sausage, and shrimp. Rice, potato salad, dinner salad, and I have peach lattice pie.

I'm slow braising a pot roast on the stove. Will add the veggies in a little while. The liquid is a combination of beef consomme, tomato paste, red wine, water. The vegetables will be onions, carrots, rutabaga, potatoes. So simple and plain, but good.

I am making a vegetarian shepher's pie with crimini mushrooms, parsnips, carrots, leeks, pearl onions and red wine with a potato and celery root topping. Hope it's good!

Welcome back Patti. Lots of getting things fixed for the baby shower and a late lunch with Cheryl from Steak and Shake after delivering brownies and cookies for a funeral dinner in another town. Lunch was hot dog with mustard and chopped onions, little fries and root beer. I have not had any thing yet this evening probably won't have much. Thanks Shirley for posting the dinner thread this week. Good job.

Welcome back, Patti! We're having crab ravioli, a salad with Italian vinaigrette (my first time making it homemade), and Italian bread with oil & balsamic vinegar.

Ravencajun: I'll bet your husband's family is happy to have you there cooking for them. I've never had gumbo but I bet I'd like it if you cooked it. That's a lot of food.

Rhizo: Simple and plain is how I cook for the most part. It sounds mouth-watering.

Chi: I'm not a vegetarian but I bet I'd like your pie.

Sue: Good luck with your shower. I've heard they might add a fast/chain food restaurants or two here. I'm voting for Steak and Shake. That's the way I mostly fix my hotdogs when I don't have a coney.

I don't know if I need to cook dinner..

Kellan and I had Wendy's for a late lunch..Dad and Kamren had burgers and Fries at the PeeWee's football Championship game they are out of town at..
Kian just buzzed through the house for his "lunch" break and fried a few hotdogs..

I may make another pot of Zuppa Tuscano...

And these soured cream cookies from my GM's recipe box...I purposely let some real cream sour....my mom grew up on a dairy farm, so there are several sour cream recipes in the box..

But I also have the recipe for a muffin, waffles and biscuits....probably should measure my cream..to decide.
