The Kitchen Table

Bye, bye Colton

Loved it. He self evicted. What a whining crybaby. My question, WHY are alumni players brought back when so many want to play this game? So far two , Colton and Rupert, are gone so the plan isn't working so well.

You could tell Jeff was very irritated.

Jeff, was dumb to think Colton changed, we all knew when he turned up in his same preppy, spoiled boy look that nothing was changed. On the flip side I like Caleb, his BF~~which I do not believe is really his BF~~they may be friends and Colton asked him to go with him on the show.
He's probably glad that Colton left~~

I thought you might like to see the end result. While the bathroom is finished, I'm still working on styling it. This first picture is the entrance from the master bedroom. I have tried to take pictures from the same angles as the originals. This view above is from the vanity looking back to the bedroom door on the right and the closet door in the back. I may put a free standing make up table to the right of the closet door. I am in the process of hunting for a simple one that has a top that opens to a mirror and everything can be tucked inside the vanity except for a few pretty items. The switch to the right of the closet door has a timer for the exhaust fan and a switch for the heater in the ceiling. There is outlet further to the right which is also controlled on the same switch box. I did this so I can control a lighted make up mirror and/or lamp from a flip of the switch. Here is the new Toto toilet. The space is 48" wide. It is located to the right of the shower. My carpenter did a great job with the wainscoting and the crown molding. Yep, I need art or something over the toilet. We intentionally do not have a separate water closet. You can not see the toilet as you enter the bedroom. This illustrates the view from the closet looking back to the vanity. Master vanity/I used 12 x 24 porcelain tile in the shower that is the same on the floor. The niche has matching tile, but I used a large piece of tile to have no grout lines in the back of the niche and in the box parts of the niche. I was really lucky to find the grab bars that don't look institutional. I did not carry the crown molding into the shower. With ten-foot ceilings, I am afraid it would be too hard for me to keep clean. The shower is about 40" wide. The shower water is simple. I can have the shower head or the handheld shower spray on or both can run at the same time. This view shows the shower side from the entrance of the bath room. In the ceiling you can get a peek of an exhaust fan that also contains a heater. Since I live in the south, I selected a heater at the shower entrance to throw off any chill instead of heating the floors. The wall color is white with a touch of gray with the trim color is BM Simply White. My husband and I are enjoying our new bathroom. I just need to find the finishing touches to complete it. I appreciate receiving your input and your listening to my questions and concerns as I embark on this adventure. It helps to have others give opinions and thoughts because it is too hard to think of everything.

Looks like a beautiful, well-built home with nice trim. I'm going to disagree that you need to paint it. I think that since foyers and hallways are usually spare and devoid of much furniture that they benefit from having wallpaper. If you don't want a pattern, then what about a grasscloth? It comes in all colors and some even have muted patterns on them. You might also consider installing a wainscot or other wood trim to add interest. However, before you select anything, you need to consider the adjacent rooms and have a basic color palette and style selected to make sure that the foyer works with the rooms that open into it, probably by large cased openings. Some suggestions/inspirations: Recessed paneling: Raised paneling with historical wallpaper: Updated damask wallpaper: Combination of beadboard and horizontal paneling: Recessed paneling and contrasting wallpaper: Horizontal paneling: Grasscloth and raised paneling: Closeup of grasscloth paper: grasscloth with muted stripe:

Diane- Texas is huge… with its own truly desert area /climate and diverse geographical regions. Where in Texas were you? Last year, June was humid, but not unbearable. We are at a higher elevation than "Austin", experience slightly cooler temperatures, and definitely less humidity. I was concerned about the humidity levels when we moved here last May. Some people from the dry desert think it is too humid, those from the Deep South often say it is not humid…relatively. Coming from coastal Southern CA, and the desert, most of the time it is just right to us and has been wonderful for our skin, eyes etc. June will ruin most hairstyles, but none of that wet after drying from a shower, water rolling down a mirror stuff was experienced here compared to what I know happens in places that are "really humid"… (comparatively… this just does not seem to be like that.. (I had to cut a trip to Louisiana short because I could not deal with the heat & humidity). What I have noticed is as the temperature rises, the humidity levels drop down into the 30% range … so in July and August, it is just hot, but not like the desert…. and last year, more comfortable than there due to lower temperatures and more than negligible humidity levels. It was a breeze… and very easy to acclimate to…. The desert had mid Summer conditions that after living there for numerous years, I never acclimated to. We just stayed indoors blasting the air conditioner there...

Thanks, everyone. I ended up using Behr Oyster. I am happy with the color, I see no blue, pink, or green undertones against my warm trim after all of the popular Greige color swatches on Pinterest that I tried (over 14!). Oyster in my house is a nice evenly warm/cool off white. I appreciate the feedback!

I kinda like Caleb too. Why did Jeff think Colton changed? And he really didn't have appendicitis at all. Jeff put that out there. Yeah, he was really angry.

I like Caleb and noticed he wasn't shedding any tears when Colton left. He looked a little releived in fact. I am sooooo thrilled Colton took himself out of the game.

Redemption Island will be interesting next week! I am rooting for Gervais' niece to get back in the game. She holds nothing back which makes for an interesting season.

Loving this season!!

He never deserved to be there even the first time. Jeff should ban him forever and make him pay back all the money they have spent on him.
That snake won't change. Poor Caleb he needs to run as far as he can from him.
I love how Jeff really let him have it and told the world he was a lying faker.

Yay!! Good, we are spared anymore tv time on that waste of air. I like Caleb too. And matti5, you make a good point, maybe Caleb isn't his "fiance". I hope not, he seems ways too nice for the likes of Colton.

I hope every single return player gets booted. I don't want any of them around. I just will never understand this crap of bringing back former players. Seriously, they had their time. 20 new people, everytime. I do like the blood vs. water thing. Just not with former players.

Really don't like Culpepper. He's a bully and a jerk and so damn cocky. I hate self-centered cocky people. No wonder his wife is plastic from heat to foot, he would probably get rid of her too.

I like Hayden, and I like Vytas, although that WAS a shady move he did in the challenge. But hey, it's Survivor.

Marissa is o.k., but if she gets too mouthy she will turn everyone against her. No one likes a big mouth, running their face all the time. I know she's pissed, but again, Hey, it's Survivor. Obviously there's nothing fair about it or the weak, lazy, lying, conniving, do nothing people wouldn't sometimes win. Haha.

I do love Survivor.

OR do you think this was STAGED to get more viewers?????

Cotton getting on Caleb's lap like a baby was a bit much.

Just a thought!

I definitely have a new person not to like now that Colton's gone...Culpepper. Who appointed him king of the mountain? And his plastic wife with her cantaloupe boobs.

Man I sure did hope they would go through with that switch and vote Culpepper off that would have been a huge power move and they should have done it. He knows the clue to the hidden idol and he will probably find it now. He still lives in his macho football player world apparently and thinks everyone should put him on a pedestal.
But why not get rid of Katie(Tina's daughter) she has done nothing! I think that was a wasted vote.

I agree with Glenda, they brought him back for ratings and, although Jeff appeared mad, he was loving the drama. It's all about ratings and sponsers.

I just thought with all the drama with Cotton, it certainly had to be scripted.

My opinion only!
