What's for dinner 10/23?

We had our carpets cleaned Thursday and that night and all day yesterday I had this horrible cough and went through almost a whole box of tissues. They had to pre-treat areas of our bedroom because the dumb painter spilled brown paint on our off-white carpet. Then I had them Scotchguard all the carpet. Don't know which one is the culprit but it sure is giving me fits. I figured it was something they used, because I went out on our porch for a while this morning and the cough and icky nose stopped. When I come back in, it starts again. I have all the windows opened hoping to get it out of here. Anyway---I didn't even have dinner last night and Harry just had barbequed pork I'd stuck in the crockpot in the morning and a baked potato.

Tonight, it's vegetable beef soup I grabbed out of the freezer. What are you doing today and what's cooking at your house?

Ruthie and TK, good for you two!! It is wonderful when people start remarking on how good you look:) I love it! And being able to wear your smaller clothing is the best!! I say that as I sit here in a pair of capri pants that are even as I am sitting a bit large in the waist:) YUP, we can still wear capri/shorts here~~it was 97 yesterday POOHIE!!! Guess What I did last night?? I went for a walk after dinner:) And I hate walking in my area, we do not have hills but there are small inclines everywhere that really make me huff:( I loved it, wore the wrong shoes so my legs were hurting a bit, I do not know if I even went a mile LOL!! I have been wanting to walk on days I miss CURVES, if my pal is not going and I have errands to do, I will skip it to do the errands before the traffic gets too bad it is getting worse daily here with all of the new home building! Do you all have that problem?? Have a great day, I am off to work! I drink 32ozs of water while at work (only 4hours) I spend most of my time in the bathroom:)

Just put frozen chicken breasts on to cook for chicken and dumplings.DDIL came in and asked if I had already planned supper and I told her what I was doing.She said she had been wanting spaghetti.Sooo,spaghetti is a lot easier,cook spaghetti,open jar of sauce,I'm done.Out of the kitchen a lot faster too.LOL So I will cook the chicken and have it tomorrow.I wasn't really in the mood to make dumplings anyway!

I am beat too! Running like mad all day! I was going to make frozen pizza for supper. Mr Fussy vetoed it. We are now having pancakes and bacon. Like it or lump it! LOL

I slept late today, will plant bulbs this afternoon, then think about dinner.

When I made dinner last nite, I made 4 pork chops in the rice.
Hubs is out all afternoon and evening with his band, so I'm on my own for dinner.
Leftovers from last nite, even a bit of leftover boiled cabbage.

BUT I did make an Apple Crostata!!! Can't wait to dig into that one.

We're going to a friends house for dinner. My DH is going to help cook the coconut shrimp. We're bringing a salad and 2 desserts. I have apple dumplings in the oven right now, and the pumpkin cheesecake I baked yesterday is in the fridge. I'm going to add a small scoop of snickerdoodle Blue Bell ice cream to each plate, too.

Today: rented Casino Royal to watch 2-nite, grocery shopped for the week, went to the thrift store & came home empty handed.

Made red chili for lunch, served over chips,with cheese & sour cream. Dinner: pollock with tartar sauce & potato wedges.

Casino Royal is good Nicole. We actually watched it twice....we missed a few things the first time.

Dunno, I still like Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. A lot of people like Daniel Craig, but Pierce does it for me.

Jasdip....we shall see....:0)Bond movies are so "corny" to me....lol We watched "How To Train Your Dragon" last week...the trailer was better than the movie. :0)
