Wow! She looks just like my cat KiKi who also loves toys. I've had several cats over the years and none of them liked more than a wadded up piece of paper, if that.

Well we haven't had cats for over 30 years so maybe the basic model has improved in three decades. The only cleaning mine ever did was to hoard all their toys in their bed.

You know, I've wondered about that. It's hard to say . . . Annie and Wolfy had a relationship I found difficult to interpret. On the surface she seemed to taunt him, Wolfy responding with his best threats (which he couldn't follow through on because of his arthritis), but I was certain that under the bluster of animosity ran real canine-feline affection. :-)

No, my first clue was when I tripped over a squeaky rubber hamburger outside my bedroom door. A few days later I tripped over a "bone." After that, I learned to look where I was going. The one dog toy she couldn't transport was a large hard-rubber Kong. But I've seen her batting at it more than once.

The cat toys happened all at once, and more than once, because the first time I thought they must have just landed there. There weren't that many of them, really, plus one was only wadded paper and another was wadded aluminum foil. I bought a couple of new ones today besides the laser light. One is a fish made of loofah and feathers, if you can picture that, and I added some appeal by rubbing the loofah with fresh catnip leaves.

Annie took charge of that one immediately.

These animals take over the home I tell ya,My one jack russell sleeps with me ,.I could hardly get her up this morning, she loves sleeping in her king sized bed,She owns the place I just live here.

I guess that would explain it, but yes, she's definitely spayed. Three years ago I stole Annie and her kitten from my neighbor's barn. He and his family live here only on the weekends, and they thought the feral kittens were "mean" because they resisted being picked up. I tried to persuade him to have Annie (and another mama barn cat) spayed, but he wasn't interested. Since she had been coming to my house for food and attention, I just took the next step, and kept her.

I had her spayed immediately, but even so, the vet told me she had gotten pregnant again. :-( I don't know how many litters she's had. Her son Pogo, who has long since been tamed and is a complete delight, is neutered.

Lucky cats!! That is a cute story. My cat only manages to strew his toys around the house. I would love for him to decide to organize and clean, but then, he is a male!!! LOL Annie is a real beauty!

My niece has a kittie, that whenever you put your purse down, she will go looking in it to find her FAVORITE toy, a ball point pen.

When she finds one, she takes it out and bat bat bat that thing all over the hardwood floor.

Ha! Pens are Pogo's favorite toy. He hasn't resorted to rummaging through my purse (thank goodness), but he bats them off my desk at every opportunity. I gave him one of his very own (an old ballpoint I never use), but he batted it into oblivion within the first few minutes. It's somewhere . . .

Annie is beautiful. We recently discovered the joys of the laser light. It has priceless entertainment value, for felines and humans alike. :o)

Could Annie come and teach Georgy a thing or two about clean up? I get tired of picking up after Georgy everyday. She has the house littered with her toys. I pick them up and put them back in the basket and every day she totes them out one by one.

Annie certainly accomplished a big task. She is beautiful-a calico. She reminds me of my late Whisper.

Oh I just remembered - what's happening with the odor from beneath/behind your sink cabinet?

LOL I was wondering if someone was going to ask me about that. The odor began to diminish, which gave me all the excuse I needed to chicken out and opt for the ostrich approach. I'm happy to say it has continued to fade. It's not 100% back to normal yet, but I'm hoping . . .

Annie is a beautiful creature. I wish I could bring here home with me for a bit and have her show our great dane how to put his toys away. He keeps them on the love seat, the couch, the bed, the dog food bowl, and the floor. He sure could use some lessons from her.

Annie is a real beauty. At least she picks up toys, instead of scattering them everywhere. Alfie likes to steal things and hide them under the rug - we never know what we are going to find under there.

Some cats love the laser lights and some are rather indifferent to them. Its really fun to play with the ones who love it, especially if your house has hardwood floors and the cats have hairy paws. Alfie loves to slide down the hall.

Good for you for rescuing her and taming her and Pogo. Amazing what a little love can do.

I have an Annie too who is identical to yours except I would call mine obese at 19 pounds. Her mother Nellie is identical, and I have trouble telling them apart. My Lily is also a tortie and the smallest and oldest. . I love them. We discovered laser lights awhile ago. They all love them and the dogs do too. My daughter has a cat, Sam, who gathers all toys and takes them to the foot of the stairs. Cats..you gotta love them. Now you need another dog to complete the pet family.

Awww....what a great little helper you've got...I can't imagine my kitty doing anything like that...to say she's lazy would be an understatement...unless it means bringing in a snake/frog/lizard/bird/vole/bat to scare the bejesus outta me!

She's a beauty, and so is Pogo. I am very partial to torties.

I take ferals that have been spayed or neutered. The shelter called me yesterday to see if I would take a couple more. I said okay. When you have as many cats as I do, I guess a couple more won't matter. As long as they have been neutered and can be outside cats, I take them. I get free cat food and the shelter helps me out by helping me get a break on spaying some of my cats. It isn't an ideal situation...they are wild cats, but at least they have a home and won't have to be euthanized.
