Holy cow!! It reminds me of a firework or a laser light show or something. The pattern on the sepals is priceless. I love the color transition it makes to, they all do it to some degree & actually love the "night & day" look on certain cultivars. Some seem to look better at night. Not only did the tepal color change, but check out that edge! The night photo appears to have a dark purple edge with white teeth. Very cool! That Polston seedling makes me think you can extend that crazy eyezone out further on the petals in it's offspring. Pretty color too. By the way you worded it, he seems to be using it too? Speaking of Polston & Ruffled Strawberry Parfait, have you seen Interview With A Vampire when you got your seedling? I can't figure out who the pollen parent is? I can't say I've seen anything like it. Very neat with the wide lighter orange eye & like the fact it takes up the majority of the petals. It looks huge too.

Hi Jim, I was thinking of your posts. I saw a Bald Eagle on my way to work 2 days ago! This is the second time I've seen it in the same location. It was flying next to the thruway on Grand Island at the south end where the Buckhorn State Park is. It doesn't look like a park there; it is a marsh, lol. I remember reading that the eagle(not sure if it is a pair) actually lives on Strawberry Island which is a tiny uninhabited island close to Grand Island. It is very exciting. There are various ways to do it. If you want to enter contests you can check out the various photography magazines on the stands and see when they're running contests. There are also a few sites around that have photo contest where the prize is something like 100.00 bucks. I think one of them is called photo a day or something like that. Then there are various on-line stock agencies where you don't have to be a professional to upload your photos and sell them. At first the $$ they pay you per download doesn't seem like a lot-but if you have good photos and lots of them the $$ per download really adds up. I personally use Shutterstock and BigStockPhoto And I'm happy with both of them. The images are royalty free and the $$ from both adds up, plus they're non exclusive so you can upload the same images to both places or as many on-line places as you can join. Also see the website for your camera maker. Often times they run photo contests for their customers and give a small prize or bragging rights. Like Kodak's winners get their pic on that giant screen in Times Sq. And many different specialized mags also run contests from time to time so take an afternoon and check out the racks at Borders.

Bonnie, I just cut the grass, sprayed weed killer and Deer Fence repellent was dragged across the yard by Shasta going after a rabbit and standing for 10 minutes alongside my shed because she wouldn't leave where the rabbit hid and now I am going out to trim the grass.....so, it looks nice but right now I'm not in love. BUT, thank you, I appreciate it.
