DWTS Last night

I'm pi$$ed that DWTS was pre-empted by sports last night. It seems like the ball jockies have all the rights in the world, and to hell with other interests. Did anything interesting happen last night? I heard one of the stars is injured and Kim K might be brought back. How did Cloris do? At least I'll get some re-runs of some of the dances tonight at the elimination show. I wonder, have I mentioned how much I HATE pro sports!!!!! Oh, I did? Sorry to repeat myself. LOL Dottie

Glenda, I agree with you. She really needs to go....she looks tired from all the attempts to make it funny. What was with the falling wig? Just did not get it.

Rocco improved and I really hope we can see more of him. I enjoy watching those who steadily improve. I believe that was the original premise of the show...take someone who can't dance and watch them grow.

These are hilarious...and painfully familiar. For thirty years this how DH relays phone messages to me: DH: Your mother called. Me: What did she want. DH: Call her back. Me: Did she say for me to call her back. DH: No. Me: Well what DID she say? DH: I think she wants to know if we are going to be at the birthday party Sunday. Me: Well I assume you answered her question? DH: No, I didn't talk to her. Me: Well how do you know she was calling about the party? DH: I don't know, she left a message on the machine. Me: Oh, so you heard the message? DH: No, I'm just guessing that's why she called. And am I the ONLY one whose husband throws out what seems to be a random phrase and expects me to know wth he is talking about? DH at 2 pm: I wonder if we will hear from DS today. He said he might come over on Wednesday but I think he wants to get his washer fixed first. Me: Oh, ok. No further mention of DS until 9pm. Immediately following a conversation about the weather, DH: It will probably be Thursday. Me: What are you talking about? DH: DS! Me: What about DS? (I've forgotten all about the earlier comments) DH: He will probably get here on Thursday. Me: OMG, and you thought that when you mentioned something out of the blue about Thursday I would know what you were talking about? DH: I SAID, "DS probably won't get here till Thursday". Me: You did not. You just said, "It will probably be Thursday" as if I have ANY idea what you are babbling about. DH: I did say I was talking about DS. YOU are just getting forgetful. Me, half muttering: Someone just shoot me. DH: No, he's definitely not coming Tuesday, he said probably Wednesday.

I'm a Melissa fan, but Gilles did awesome!! I would just like to see Melissa and Tony take it. It's good to see Tony with a good partner...he never seems to make it too far in the competition because he gets lousy partners. He seems like a really nice guy.

I didn't notice that. I will have to look closer this week. This is the first season I have watched regularly. My fav is Shawn and Mark but, of course, I am leaning toward Shawn since she is a Des Moines girl.

ABC's new show 'Castle'

Too true, pattico. I found the Mentalist guy to be quite cute and beguiling, but he doesn't have the sharp incisive wit and repartee that Castle seems to have after just two episodes. I quite liked the scene where fairly early in the show he had several cops mesmerized by his literary riff on the potential story arc of the homicide, realistic or not. He was being "the author" in that moment. A good bit of writing, and acted out fairly well for just the second episode in a new series.

Misti May-Treanor was injured in practice. Is having surgery on her Achilles tendon. She won't be back. I don't know anything about bringing back Kim.

Cloris needs to go back home. What is Corky trying to accomplish? The routines are making Cloris look foolish - not funny. The wig falling off was not intentional.

I think Warren and Kim are doing great.

I quit watching it after Cloris wasn't eliminated a week or so ago. I've already seen far more of her than I want.

My two cents again, why do the producers put such obvious clunkers in there? It makes it very embarrassing to watch. Even Jerry Springer had had enough and begged to be sent home.

People are laughing AT Cloris, not WITH her. She's going out w/ nobody respecting her. I think it's a shame she's being allowed to act like such a fool.

If you watched the clip of Misty May's rehearsal when she hurt her Achilles, you can actually hear it snap! ewww, ouch!

They said on the show last night that Cloris' wig was supposed to come off but that a scull cap was supposed to stay on with a message written on it that said VOTE FOR ME. The scull cap came off too and all at the wrong time I think. Any way you look at it, it was a sad affair.

This season is incredibly boring and/or painful to watch.

If they were going to bring back one of the former participants, wouldn't they have been back for last night's competition, since Misty May wasn't dancing? I suppose, due to lack of rehearsal time, they might not have been able to get someone back and prepared in time, though. Guess we'll find out tonight--if they aren't going to replace Misty with someone who has already been voted off, they'll have to allow all through, so as not to skew their schedule.

And don't forget--if you want to catch the show tonight, check your listings--the debate is on and DWTS is going to be shown either before or after. In our market it will be on at 8 rather than the usual 9.

Oh, dang, I forgot about the debates tonight. Obviously this isn't my day, because our paper wasn't delivered this morning ( or yesterday either) Oh well, there is always next week. Dora
