Quick, what email do you use????

I'm having probs with my outlook express, been online w/comcast, etc. trying to redo my outlook, but am thinking of switching to another email. what's good and simple???:

I switched from Outlook Express to Outlook, but I can't say it's simpler.

A lot of people, including me, like Gmail, too.

I use Hotmail and don't use OE.

another reason why i check the box, is because half the dang time i forget where the heck i left a message, so when i started posting and then i found that precious little box, OMGoodness!! that was so awesome!! Hee Hee!! i was glad, because i used to go all over the place just to see how big this place is, and well its just huge, then i'd forget where iwas. and of course where i posted something, or i'd see something that would catch my attention. i still do that and forget. LOL but ya know. LOL ~Medo p.s. who is that familiar face up there????? **big grinn**

LOL.. I did send it. Angel was the reliever. DS hasn't had a lot of chances this year, which was supposed to be HIS best year. He did an awesome job. He hasn't pitched since April 17 or 18th. I did say that I had a little correction and I'm sure he would forgive a Mom, especially on her birthday! LOL

I'm sorry to say, when I read your first post--with her letter, it immediately raised a pack of red flags. Anyone who has a list of excuses like that, who has all month to move (but needs the help now, when she's got the excuse of being recently sick)--is more likely than not, a user who rarely takes responsibility for themselves. Your further input only confirmed my opinion that this woman is the kind who is always looking to others to take care of her responsibilities I've met a few people like that in my life. They never change. They never get their finances together. They never get a stable home set up (they're usually moving from place to place as things start to overwhelm them). They start hinting at needing a little help, move up to asking for it, progress to begging for money (eventually large sums), and then attempt to make friends and family feel really guilty if they can't/won't help. Sadly, people who fall into that group never ever seen to get things reorganized. I don't know your friend--you do. IF she's one of the hardcore users I'm talking about, there's really nothing good to come from sacrificing your time, money and emotions on her. Those people are bottomless pits who will drag you down with them. On the other hand, if she's truly someone who has just hit a short stretch of bad times, there may be some value in helping her. BUT think carefully before you do. Do not ever give someone in a bad way cash--pay a utility bill for them, buy them a bag of groceries. It's okay to help someone pack--as long as they're working at least as hard as you are (but if you get over there and she decides she needs to sit in a chair and supervise as you work yourself to exhaustion, I'd suddenly remember a previous engagement--LOL). Remember--it's good for our character to help someone who needs it. It's bad for THEIRS if we help them continue to be deadbeats. Best help you can give someone is to help them learn to stand on their own 2 feet.

What else do you do with quick cooking barley?

Weird, I had posted a reply earlier but it's disappeared. I once made some really good vegetarian "burgers" with cooked barley. As I recall there was also rolled oats, herbs, lots of soy sauce, some flour and egg to bind, not sure what else. I'm away from home atm so I can't post the actual recipe until the 23rd at the earliest, but you could experiment with flavours you like. Even my "makes a face when you mention vegetarian food, especially if it's different" husband really liked these :-)

I have used Yahoo for about 7 yrs, I have no problems with it. I also have care2.com for another email, its nice and has lots of stuff going on there. You have several choices on the email names too. I get too much spam at gmail.

I use an ILoveJesus.net for my personal email, Hotmail for anything else, like newsletters, contests, etc. I also use an gmail for the coffee shop email at our church.

I use gmail, web based and by Google. I really like it but it does take a bit of getting used to. I started using it a few years ago when I started having trouble with Hotmail and I like having a web based email because we move quite a bit. If you are interested, I can send you an invite.

Mostly Yahoo (four addresses: one that I use for contact here and a couple as screeners for locations where they want an address and I have concern about exposure to spam), also some gmail, some Porchlight (my service provider) ... some time ago I used aeccafe (architects', engineers', contractors' site) when they offered a lot more storage than Yahoo.

I'm pleased with Yahoo.

I use it quite a lot for financial stuff, as well - plus globeinvestor.com

Have had gmail for a fairly short time, but little trouble with spam there. Son likes it.

I get quite a lot of spam at my main Yahoo address - I've had it for a long time ... plus I think that I made the mistake of replying to some of the incoming spam stuff: unwise choice, I think.

But - you know me: I have a hard time keeping my big, fat mouth shut.

I've used Yahoo since the beginning. It's fine about 98% of the time.

i love the AOL email set up I've used Outlook and Yahoo but find AOL easiest

I use Yahoo, and don't get any Spam with it. Rogers is our Cable provider and it comes with email, but it horrible.....hundreds of Spam emails weekly.

I also use Gmail for my moderating with freecycle, and I don't care for it. I haven't gotten around to using another email addy for my freecycle moderating.

I have always used Outlook Express and have never had a problem with it. Dh has tried to switch me to just Outlook, but I just switch it right back.

I have AOL - I love it, they do everything but answer
the letter for you. :) I also have Comcast - they have
changed it several times since I first got it with
my Broadband. It is ok, I think. But AOL has spoiled
me. I have extra accounts with them too.

I hate change, though.

I love AOL too...had it for 10 years and can't get used to any other. It's just so organized and easy...and free too!

I used internet provider email till we started moving to often.

I had a hotmail account, but got to much spam there at one point.

Now I have two gmail, and four yahoo accounts. All for different uses. :)
