I would wait 1-2 days after I asked about it and then pay if I didn't hear anything from the seller.

I would ask about combined shipping BEFORE I bid from then on, then you'll know.

I buy/sell on ebay and I don't mind combined shipping at all...it only makes sense IF the multiple purchases were made in the same auction time. I also understand if there is a slight fee for the added item if it weighs enough that the shipping will run higher because of it.

The items are almost identical and the auctions ended one minute apart. Otherwise I wouldn't bother asking. I'm going to go ahead and pay.

I'd wait. Especially if the seller is selling a lot of stuff, they might not realize right away that the same buyer bought two items. As a seller, I had that happen to me not long ago. I didn't even look to see who had bought my items, and then a few days later (while I was sitting there tapping my fingers waiting for payment, so to speak) I got an email from the buyer asking for the shipping price for both items.

Give the shipper at least a few days to wake up and realize you need combined shipping.

I agree with waiting a day or two, and then paying the full price if you don't hear back. You don't want to wait too long and have the transaction go bad by not paying within the agreed-upon time frame.

As a seller, I've refunded a few dollars if I've learned that the shipping will be significantly less than I thought. Hopefully the seller is an honest person and maybe they'll tuck a few bucks into the package before they mail it out to you if they haven't already adjusted the shipping before you pay. Good luck!

Especially wait through today ... depending on if she's a real business, or just somebody selling extra stuff, she may not check emails/auctions over the weekend. So she wouldn't even see your request until today.

I went ahead and paid. The items are small and shipping per each was only $5.00. I wasn't quibbling for me. I thought asking might make it easier on the seller. Good36, you are probably right. I'm glad I paid.

For what it's worth, I've done the same thing before, paid for both items without waiting to see if the shipping could be combined, and in almost every instance I've had the seller refund me for part of the shipping. As you said, I'm hoping the seller here will do the same for you :-)

I would have waited a bit since most have a 7 day pay period bu since youalready paid, contact them again and ask for a credit. Doesn't hurt to ask

I heard from the seller this morning. She refunded the shipping difference. I guess I jumped the gun on paying, but I didn't want a bad rep. So much drama, but 5 bucks is 5 bucks!

Sending a refund thru Paypal, something I do all the time if they overpay shipping by more than $1, takes about 30 seconds, tops, so it's not really a big deal to do.

$5 is a lot, if you're not getting anything for it, IMO. I would hate to have one of my customers overpay that much, I would fear a grumbly feedback that said I ripped them off. It was good of your seller to refund the $5!

I always refund my buyers for excess postage paid but many sellers are not reputable enough to do it. It complicates matters for a busy seller if you pay and then the seller has to do a refund.

As a seller, who combines shipping, I would suggest that you, before or immediately after, send an email asking about combined shipping and asking for a new total and then waiting for an answer.

It's wrong to me as a seller to charge that extra $5 that you mentioned for postage...I am very strict about refunds as I was once charged $35 for a combined shipping that cost the seller $15.00..Believe me there are a lot of those sellers out there and it costs money to refund your postage.
