Thorn deep in my finger - ouch.

I have a wicked rose bush in my yard with thorns the size of barbs on wire. If the blooms were not so pretty, I'd have gotten rid of it long ago. Last week I pruned it back to remove the dead blooms before winter (hate looking at dead flowers all winter). In the process I got a thorn in my finger. I thought I got it all out but there must still be a piece of it deep under my skin. It hurts every time I touch that spot and since it is a finger on my right hand, it gets touched a lot. There is no mark at all where the thorn went in, but when you push on it, it hurts like heck.

How do I get this thing out? Do they eventually dissolve and get absorbed by the body? Any home remedies for this? It is so annoying.
