Linda, I "LOVE" the tall models. If I ever have a new toilet installed here, it will be the tall model.

There is no reason to have those low models, unless you have little kids, in my humble opinion. ;)

We got a new toilet in 2005 when we remodeled our 1950's era bathroom. It works great (it's a Toto) and II still love it! Congrats!

Now you can get "high" every day!

Yup I agree it's those little things that make our day. My DH could use one at 6'3".

We installed one like that a couple of years ago in the guest bath. I love it, it flushes better than the older ones. And we always get the elongated bowls. If you have a choice I recommend that you go for that, you won't feel like you're perched on a bottle cap like you do with the round ones!

I want 2 more American Standard Champion Elongated (I think that's what we got) toilets for the other baths. They rated pretty high in Consumer Reports.

Ohhhh! Count me in for the "happy" club. I have a new beautiful toilet, too. Well, it's been crated and stored in the garage since July, but it will be installed in the bathroom, eventually, and then I just know I'm going to love it.

Here my Kohler's Katheryn, one-piece, comfort (ADA) height, elongated potty. Mine has a black lid with brushed nickle fittings. The trip lever is brushed nickle and white porcelain to match the sink faucet. Now is that gettin' above my raisin' or not?! LOL

Glad you brought this up...thought I must be getting doddy at being excited over such.

I am glad to hear that others get excited over such things. Mine is a Jacuzzi brand, elongated. The round ones remind me of porta-potties that you put in a tent trailer or just a tent.

I have elongated regular height ones. I'd be excited to get new toilets too. I want comfort height. It's taller than regular but short than ADA toilets. Actually my dream toilet is wall-hung. I absolutely hate cleaning around the base of the toilets. Enjoy your new throne, Queen Linda. :-)

Maybe a Man can get better aim with that one. And then Homey couldn't drink out of the toilet. LOL!

LOVELOVELOVE the tall elongated toilet! I feel like Edith Ann from the old Rowan and Martin show (remember the huge chair?) but it's SO much easier to get up. And DH makes a much smaller mess. My neighbor (who comes over every Saturday night for beer and BS) loves it so much she says she waits to go until she gets here. And yes, it takes less water to flush, and does a better job. Don't remember the maker, but it was on sale cheap at HD one weekend. Didn't get installed for another six months!

We got one for a Christmas present. Now what kind of gift is that? We really like it. We have 3 bathrooms and 1 bathroom does not have the tall commode and I just don't use that one!! It didn't take much to make us happy, too.
